That does not happen. You must not have completed the process properly. if you don’t ensure you private files, images, videos etc are backed up before you proceed with reinstalling Windows 11, you will lose everything you haven’t copied across.

Thank you for asking. No, we're up in NE Texas completely on the other side of the state.. Where we are the landscape is completely different We've had quite a bit of rain so spring is springing green right now. Texas has never seen a fire of this magnitude before. It's so horrible for all those ranchers that have lot everything. A second death was announced earlier this evening.

There is no way Rufus coppied that over.

Jro, let RUFUS do its job, don’t manipulate the USB for crying out loud.
If you tell me RUFUS did it my head will explode. If you truly believe RUFUS did copy your picture folder to that USB (it didn’t) then format the USB first.
Better yet, dous your PC with Fuel, set it alight and go buy a new one. If you do, don’t touch anything, just put it on your desk and admire it.

You need to stop wasting everybody's time and get on Teams with a qualified, trusted source and get the job done! Although, I don't think your internet speed could handle it!

It's not my intention to appear insensitive in any way, shape or form, with this post.
Most of us here are more than willing to help you, but, something's just not working! 🤷‍♂️

For someone who claims to have been involved with computers for the past 60 years, you certainly don't appear to have a clue as to what you are doing!

I have. I was just as surprised.

Up to yesterday, whenever I questioned Edge's AI, Copilot it would generate a document "Answer.docx" in one of the Known folders. Today it's generating that document in App>Local>Temp (I have done nothing to relocate any of the Known folders)

They’re in the temp folder, why care?

I don’t know what half the things you bring up have to do with what you’re trying to do.

Make the install USB already.

Plug in USB
Start Rufus
Point Rufus to USB if it doesn’t automatically find it
Point Rufus to ISO
Press start
Select options when they show
Continue with USB creation

My cat could do this.

To be totally forthcoming; I have a basic but solid (at least it’s how I see it) relationship with Jro, trying to help Jro combat the shortcomings he has faced with what he is trying to achieve. I am bluntly honest with him, sometimes brutally so, but I am also as compassionate as I can be when I’m not in one of my stomp on your face grumpy moods.
You, all I recall is first seeing you entering one of Jro’s threads telling us all how amused you were watching his thread and by all his failings trying to understand or achieve what he wanted to. That’s not to say you didn’t try, somewhere, I have no recall.
Contribute… or something.

I don’t believe Jro needs help with this issue anymore, so even if you wanted to, you’re late to the rescue party.
