Has anyone here yet found there was something they were unable to do using their God-given intelligence?
Probably not -- But some stuff that used to take hours or even days can now be performed in minutes -- particularly in combination with EXCEL in complex engineering projects,supply chain logistics and "What if" scenarios.
In any case it's far better than that Chinese stuff "Deep Stink" or something isn't it called.
Those ranting against decent A.I are only modern day equivalent's of King Canute sitting at a beach and commanded the tide to stop coming in (although had he had a decent Naval navigator set of chartsand chosen his time wisely he could have seemed to have done just that) or workers smashing up spinning machines because it was going to take away their jobs.
Modern tech will always create new jobs - probably many of which we don't even know about yet. How many "Comptometer operators" or secretarial typists are left these days - and how many work now in I.T and related industries plus servicing them. In the 1960's those jobs barely existed.
@Scannerman
Not sure where you are but here in Sunny Reykjavik today it's a "Balmy" Sunny -3 deg C !!! with days lengthening decently (sunset at 17.05 today although still slightly dark at around 10.00).
Cheers
