Ok - Have attempted to implement my plan.
Oh dear, at item 3 removing the 'Zone Alarm Next Generation' processes with "End Task", they cannot be removed.
They do have sub processes and those cannot be stopped either (no option to end task).
What will happen if I go ahead WITHOUT removing the Zone Alarm Next Generation processes?
Is that a definite No No?
Nope, you can stop other processes of said app as they would be started again when you reboot.
IF you cannot stop these processes , I do believe that the restore process will fail as the 3rd party
security app will not allow for the changes.
I have MalwareBytes' installed as my security device and I forgot to exit the app before I had to
do a restore and it did fail. This has happened to many others as well so, it would be imperative
to have those processes stopped.
Their might be an other way to get to the restore app but, that would involve getting the PC into
Safe Mode where only Windows would be allowed to operate. Meaning , all other apps and tweaks
would not affect the OS from operating.
For now, try to end those other processes.
