Need Help Installing Fans

The bottom of your case can mount 3 SSDs or 3 120mm fans.
Unfortunately your case manual only mentions mounting SSDs.

So... you're gonna have to sit down, take your time, and figure it out.

If you want us to figure it out for you... you will have to post crystal clear pics of the inside bottom of the case (and it's parts), and the outside bottom of the case.

Somewhere on the bottom part(s) of the case there will be 3 sets of 4 screw holes. One set for each fan.
Sometimes, they don't use individual screw holes, but maybe a plate with many holes.
If you look closely at the many holes... you should see four of those many holes with a slight countersink.
That would be where the screws go.

Even in that pic you already posted... I can see the screw holes for one of the fans...

The fan either goes below the plate with the screw holes or above the plate with the screw holes.
Without having the case in my hands... I can't really tell from the pic.

Here's a pic. The RED things are the screws. They "pass" through the plate and "screw into" the fan.
You won't see any "threads" in either the plate or the fan. The screw "makes" the threads in the plastic of the fan shroud.
BLUE arrows are the direction of the airflow.
BOTH of these drawings are of the "bottom" of the case (side view).

Those 4 fan holes you see, yes, tried that. But then there is no access to the screws from the bottom. Wouldn’t they screw from the bottom? The case itself, the bottom grille, can’t access the screws to tighten them.

Ya know, I tried to remove that tray! Then decided after a few minutes that it didn't come out. If it does come out, that'll solve the main problem! (well, after enough screws to mount them). I'll have another go of it later tonight, thanks!

Partial success! I robbed my old computer of its 4 rear fan screws. I’ve successfully mounted 2 fans! Now I have to run cables around backside and figure out the controller. I can’t plug these into fan header at all, these have 9-pin connectors. Plug into controller is the only way I guess.

Got cables run, fans connected to controller, controller connected to USB header on MB. Thats the new controller laying on floor. All I need now is to find the elusive 4-pin Molex connector. I’m sure it’ll be in that mess of cables there?

Your HX1200 is a modular power supply, so the cables are whatever was installed.

It comes from Corsair with two "peripheral" cables, each of which has 4 Molex connectors.

Did the PC builder give you those, installed or not?

Yes, I’ve got 2 of those cables in a bag of extra cables. If they are already installed, where would I find them? I mean, where do I look for the connector to plug into? Would they be just hanging in there somewhere? Do I need to unbundle all that mess of tied cables to find it?

I'm wondering if there's one of those cables already installed for the fan controller the computer came with. You may need to un-bundle those wires to find out.

If you have the 2 cables in a bag, they aren't installed. You'll need to install one.

Ah........ so there should be a connection for it available on the power supply? It's a 6-pin connector, what appears to have only 4 actual pins.

There may be a plug right there (red arrow). See if it's 6 pin.

Any free 6 pin socket will do. See post #72 again. I hope that you can reach one. Make sure that you push the 6 pin plug in until it clicks.

Because of the way the PSU mounts, shifting it to make connecting the new cable easier may not be convenient. Having the PSU mount from the rear of the case is one of the features I miss in my Lian Li 011 Dynamic Evo (smaller sibling to your case).

As "Scott" pointed out, the Molex connector has 4 pins.

SUCCESS!! Got them up and running now. Their RGB isn't matching the others on the other controller, so I'll have to see where I adjust that. Thanks again for all you guys help!

Well done, installing fans on a modern PC can be a right pain in the butt. On my new build I installed 10 fans and an AIO, it took me ages to complete.
