Most of the problems I had came from windows updates than explorerpatcher. Also it is clearly stated that the creator of ExplorerPatcher does not support insider beta versions and only the stable normal versions. I would suggest you revert first to the last version of windows and see if you still have problems

OK. I went back to version 21H2 22000.832 and there it works very well.
for version 22621.232 there is work to adapt ExplorerPatcher.
I know visual C++ I have a version of 2014.
I would like to help you but I do not think I have the necessary knowledge.

Hallo,
yesterday i have installed on Win11 22621.290 the KB5015890 with the Tool W10UI_10.21.zip from Github, then i have the Win11 22621.440.
In the German Deskmodder Forum,we talk about the EP too.

Then i have installed the EP 22000.778.47.2, Lo and behold, the EP runs again without any problems, only the battery icon does not work when you click it, then I took the Windows 7 icon, which works, everything else has been running perfectly so far. Good job by Valinet and Team

Can we make a list of stuff that's not working on 22H2-based builds? Maybe I slowly start patching things up and bump up support for this OS version as well.

I was surprised myself, because some things didn't work in Win11 22621.290, such as the context menu on start tile, click on the tray icons, Win key +X, nagging in the event display, so the EP was useless in the version, until just now 22621.440 with the new EP version.
I tested it for a while yesterday and today, really good.

I just reinstalled EP again and it is working. I am assigning my previous problems to User Error, although I don't know what kind.

I don't know if this issue meets your criteria, but if so, here goes (for Surface Pro 8 with insider beta build 22622.440).

I recently reverted to the Windows 11 taskbar to check on something. I could not remember how to switch back to Explorer Patcher's Win10 taskbar, so I reinstalled EP. While I get no errors, I see no evidence of the old Win10 taskbar.

On the same device, I have another user account. I never switched back to the Win11 taskbar from that account, so it still uses the Explorer Patcher Win10 taskbar. It is still working under this account without any obvious problems.

Given that my current condition is odd, I can be available to answer follow-up questions, if needed. Otherwise, I'll keep researching ways to get EP installed so that I can get the Win10 taskbar back on my main account.

EDIT: I just changed my Insider setting to Release Preview so that nothing big changes my system this week, in case @valinet wants testing done given that EP works on the user account that had it installed before my update to 22622.440 or on the user account that installed EP after the OS update and from which EP doesn't work. (I'll switch back to Beta at the end of the week in case I don't hear anything.)

I have installed EP on a new system, and got a problem: the Explorer crashes every time on right-click on the taskbar.
This happens under any theme, but does not happen if "skin taskbar and tray context menus" option is enabled (but in this case the context menus are empty under classic theme).

The EP settings are completely the same on the both systems.

The crash does not depend on whether 7+TT and OpenShell are running.

what version of win11 have you ?
As a test, I also installed the ep on my 2nd laptop, same win11 version with the same ep version. The result is just as good as with the other Laptop.

Also, on the new system EP always reports error when exiting the session.

Back then with Win11 22000.XXX, I can't remember exactly, I reset the EP to standard using the about button and then made the settings again, after that the EP worked perfectly again, that's always the problem after the Windows updates . Just try it out, you can also save the settings as a reg file and restore them using the About button.

Also, I have noticed that all console windows are periodically jerking when EP is running on the new system. This is weird...

22000.795.48.1 woks like a charm on my laptop (up to date win 11 pro, intel 11th gen), but on my middle tower (same os version, same cpu gen) is impossibile to open start menu (works with previous explorerpatcher version.

Hello.
I was looking at the ExplorerPatcher source code and noticed that I can use the F1 key or the H key to display help messages.
However, that does not seem to work in my environment (I am using Windows 11).
Does it work in your environment?

Hello, nice software!
However I just found that ep will not work on the newest windows update KB5016691. After I reboot my computer to finish the update, my computer screen turnned black and I cound see noting. After uninstall the ep and restart explorer.exe, everything works fine. Please fix it, thx!

Yes it works. Just wait for it to download the symbol file for 22000.918.
