New X-Lite Optimum is out!

So is this suitable for a low powered laptop? Eg a pentium or atom processor? And will it run faster/lighter?

Well my antivirus just popped up with a warning on part of that website and blocked something! Something about an advertising link and malware. And I have an adblocker.

Yep, the ads on that site are hit and miss. I’ve been served up benign ones and, well, not so benign ones. It’s unintentional on the dude’s part I’m sure, but unfortunate just the same.

I didn't get any ads, because I have an ad blocker. It was when I tried to close the pop up asking me to allow ads (about the fourth time) that my AV said it had blocked malware from an ad. Which is odd.

And I just recreated the same scenario again. Close the adblock request pop up, click on optimum 24H2, close the adblock request again, click on the build you want. Adblock pop up comes up again. Trying to close it the third time triggers AV to block malware and run a scan.

Malvertising entails the deployment of malicious code on a publisher’s web page, specifically targeting individual users.
Furthermore, malvertising only impacts users who view an infected webpage

I think someone needs to tell him his web page is infected.

I got similar fake ad garbage when trying to access the d/l link for the X-Lite Win11 24h2 pro (new 4.3 build)- from fastupload.io, but I've never seen an ad from the X-Lite site.. Malwarebytes doesn't like it.

I'm installing X-Lite 24H2 Pro v4.3 into a VirtualBox 7.1.4 VM and it won't activate. Display resolution is set to 1024x768 and won't let me change until I "activate". When I try to change the product key.. I get a pop-up dialog but NO data entry capability.

Advice pls.. on how to activate as I'm not updating my primary or creating a dual-boot.
I run a local Win11 acct outside the VM, so don't want to sign into the X-LITE instance.
Installing VBoxGuestAdditions hangs the VM.
