Unfortunately it didn't worked for me! Installed both .NET you mentioned, but it still not updating.
It always end up with install error: 0x8007306.
Tried installing through WU or the standalone .msu file.

Windows x-lite must be installed as a clean install using Rufus, on a USB stick only.
Any other methods will get you the window as shown above by JGToy. And you can't install a different edition of windows that doesn't match which one you already have (home /pro /enterprise)

I created a machine with this X-Lite version thinking of using it as a regular, but it turnout to be not very friendly because every time that it breaks, there will be no "Recovery or Repair", you will have to start all over again from scratch.

To each their own.
I use Macrium Reflect to create my windows image backup as a recovery option.
If something breaks it, I have my backup with all data and programs intact.

I use Hasleo Backup to fix it But it is on a PC not a VM

I downloaded the KB from UUPDump:-

The WU on my computer still disabled.

Yes. That's because you have resumed your updates. Some keep them off to only use the updates from the X-Lite site.

I went rogue alright. Nothing wrong with turning on updates. And I did. Works great.
