LibreOffice uses its own coding called LibreOffice Basic.

It's my use of VBA, Outlook, Access that would stop me considering any alternative to MSOffice.

As long as these keys activate OK with the Microsoft servers people will continue to buy them. Totally agree. I think most people are willing to risk a $20 key not working a year or two later with the super low cost of the keys. I am a little surprised that Microsoft hasn't really put in much effort to stop the rampant abuse of these keys. I assume they hoped to snag a good number of people getting them onto Office 365. Of course many don't like subscriptions, or don't have a need for the OneDrive space that it comes with.....so those people are still going to be hunting for keys.

I have seen Office 2019 pretty cheap online for years but was wary of buying from these websites. One of the YouTube channels I watch is sponsored by one of these sites and said they had been using them for over five years without any problems. Three years ago I bought 2 copies of Office 2019 Pro Plus for $57 each. Six months ago I bought Office 2021 Pro Plus for $60.

I think it is good that we have a choice of whether to buy a subscription or pay a one-time price for a standalone version of Office. The same for leasing or buying a car. There are pros and cons for both.
