In any event, the Bose Bass Module 700 came today. Puny bass! So, I figured out it's the Bose TV bar I have. I can return it still, and that's what I'm going to do! I ordered this, which has full control over the bass module:

This is strange. When I touch and gently rub my fingers on any part of the laptop, I feel an electric hum with a static field surrounding them.
