I'm digging my ASUS Vivobook. IT set up with no difficulties. It's quick. It not only came with a lifetime subscription to Office, it came with a pair of HP earbuds. Not the best, but it was a kind gesture! I didn't get one with a souped-up video card. But then, I won't be gaming on it. It's a good work replacement for my 13-year-old Macbook Pro that dual boots into Windows 10.

Gaaaahhhhh! I had a jam in my nozzle on my 3D printer and I destroyed the nozzle trying to get it off to clean it. So I had to order another one.

At $50 CAD a crack, this is becoming expensive. I already had to replace the extruder and motor because the melted plastic flooded the extruder too and ruined it.

I hope that I can get this in this weekend. I am having severe trouble getting the excess plastic out of the area where the nozzle fits and right now the new nozzle won't fit where it is supposed to go. If I have to take apart the entire carriage assembly, I am screwed because I will never get it back together within tolerances. :(

Who ever said 3D printing was an inexpensive hobby?

Ugh. I'm sorry to hear about your plight!
Sounds like you need a torque wrench, if that's what you're talking about when you say you won't get it together within tolerances.

I have a pretty nice 3D printer that I've rarely used. I bought it because my wife was wanting to do 3D models of rocket designs she's developing, but she changed her mind saying that she designs on paper and that someone else could do the modeling and building. Now it just sits there collecting dust because I don't really have a need for it. I assume it still works. I should sell it on Facebook Marketplace or somewhere...

I got it to work! It took a blowtorch and some serious pliers, but I was able to get the hot end off without damaging anything!

The two benchmark prints I just made came out better than anything I've printed before, so I guess I did something right, lol.

I accidentally bought two bone in Pork Loins. I thought no problem I have the meat cleaver my parents owned so I can cut the bone. I looked everywhere and couldn't find it. I bought a 34" LG monitor to replace my Samsung 27" monitor. Now my new desktop has a 34" main monitor and a 32" secondary monitor. The reason why I upgraded is because I noticed yesterday that the Samsung was looking like the colors were washed out. I tried the settings in the NVIDIA Control Panel and the settings on the monitor and I just couldn't get the colors to look bright. Because I didn't want to wait so I cheated and went to Walmart instead of buying it online.

This is all three of my monitors. The one on the right is connected to my old desktop. The screen behind the third monitor and under the star is our TV. If you're wondering , yes the star is lit and so is our Christmas tree. I leave it lit all year. I like it, plus it makes a great night light for my wife.

Yeah, kind of like a bone. The link is to a shop in Wyoming (I think). We have them here in Maine (and I've seen them in NH). Our mini-aussie really likes them and they last 2-3 weeks (whereas Yak chews...the hard cheese she can go through in an hour).

I have bought bone like treats for my dog that were suppose to last a few days and she does the same thing. My Gabriel is part Pit Bull. My sister's friend couldn't afford to take care of her. My sister asked me if I would give her a home. I was a little hesitant because at the time I already had two dogs. Except for her anxiety she is one of the sweetest dogs we have ever had. She once destroyed a cushion from our sectional. My wife and I went away one day and left our three dogs in the house. When we got home there was pillow stuffing every where. Luckily she has grown out of that and we can trust her when we go out.

Nice little piece of kit. But jeez that's a huge toroidal transformer inside there (I took a peek at the website you linked and it shows the guts. Wow. ) But I am wondering if the setup actually improves the quality of the sound that the average person could really discern that the Hermes or IRIS is actually in circuit? The human ear is only so good, after all.

I'm not the "average person", I'm me. And as "me", I buy what I think (in this case know) works :-)

As for the human ear noise.... I just concern myself with what "my" ears hear. YMMV ;-)
