I bought this for my wife for Christmas:
I tried to get her the 42" model, and this is what she wrote in an email to me (from the living room):
"I like this one. It is smaller than the “Uncle Gus” version you sent.
The aforementioned “pit” you forwarded is possibly large enough to accommodate a modest
surface-to-air missile or might even serve as an emergency landing pad for a first generation
Falcon rocket or a desperate Army pilot manning an errant drone flyer who is simply not willing
to die for our country when our pit could be a viable option. Also, given the advances of turreted
sensor systems with electro-optical and infrared cameras for target acquisition on unmanned
flight systems, the heat generated by the pit you sent would likely result in complete destruction
of all civilians within a two-mile radius of [our home].
Do not mistake me. I love big fires. MASSIVE FIRES. But this is not Mordor, my darling."
