Those speakers look nice, I have the Audioengine A5+powered speaker with the Audioengine S8 sub. The setup definitely pumps.

I keep looking at the MX Master 3S but can't yet justify the $99 bucks since there's nothing wrong with my 2S. Ironically, if I didn't have this car payment now, I probably would have it already

... only weird thing with the 3 compared to the others is that the thumb scroll wheel is kinda on top rather than on the side, sorta!

Yeah, this is actually the first time I've not upgraded my mouse when a new one was released.

Also add the car payment has pretty much put a crimp on my PC spending habits. Now I have to ask myself do I really need what I'm thinking of buying

OFFICE CHAIR

It was time to replace my 7 year of office chair with new as one handle was cracking. After trying many chairs at Staples for about half an hour I chose to buy "Staples High-Back Bonded Task chair". There was none in stock so I ordered on line. After assembling it I noted one manufacturing defect. The seat cannot go back beyond 90 degrees as the kink in the metal at the bottom of the seat fitting on the base has a very small angle. I exchanged the seat with my old chair and I am very comfortable. I have complained to Staples about their design problem and I note that the web site states "out of stock". The complaint goes back over 6 years on customer review. I want to give my old chair to a young family member and they will have to get used to the 90 degrees back unless Staples offers a new solution.

The lower part of the chair is perfect for me because the height of the seat and arm rest. I am 5ft 6in tall and weigh 160 lb

Getting cold here. My old winter coart is getting threadbare. Ordered this Marmot Giorio coat. Supposed to get here today but I think tomorrow. Wanted to get a more technical North-face but my wife convinced me to get this more "dressy" Marmot from Sierra trading post. Anxious to try it out, hope it fits..

I bought for both my son and myself the Mexico DLC.

I was already a fan of the Dutch, Chinese and Japanese but now the Mexicans are one of my favorites too. :)

Did you get your Bose 300 setup yet? If you did, how do you like it? I'm really pleased with my soundbar. I did have to buy a better HDMI switch box. With the one I bought from Walmart I had to manually change the input. The one I ordered from Amazon switches automatically when I turn on my Roku Box or my Sony Blu-Ray player.

I dig it, I left the Optical cable (Oc) hooked up after testing the extra HDMI I have loose (from the TV) on one of the players. I tried the HDMI, Both but went back to the Oc as I'm not noticing much difference in my use which is primarily air TV & Amazon Fire Stick.. I set the Center Channel at 20, the Base at 10 & the Treble at 20.
I don't subscribe to any music apps since I have 35GB of songs already in my personal library so I use the Bluetooth to play that music on the Bose SoundLink Revolve portable speaker & will play beside the Bose 300 but the Bose 300 wont play it even though it is chosen in the settings.
For my usage it works very well & gets quite loud if needed.

I bought the Bose Sound Touch 300 Soundbar along with Bose Acoustimass 300 bass module: back in 2017.

The soundbar connected to my cable box via HDMI, and the cable box connected to the TV's HDMI Arc port. That means whenever either the TV, cable box, or soundbar is powered on or off so are all the other items.

The only problem I have with Bose is their software apps suck. This is both soundbar and their Bose HD 700 headphones. Great hardware, horrendous software. I posted a review saying they need to hire a third-party company to work on their software.

I don't think there is any difference with the sound quality when using the HDMI port or the Optical port. I only used the HDMI port to connect to the HDMI Arc port on the TV so the TV remote would work with the soundbar. My TV only has three HDMI inputs so I had to buy an HDMI switch. The switch came with a remote but it auto switches when I turn on the Roku or the Blu-Ray player. I did setup my Spotify and Sirius XM but I haven't tried them.

I agree, the app isn't the greatest. I would prefer to use the remote instead of an app on my phone.

Why do I need to download the SoundTouch® app?

That's how you connect your SoundTouch® system to your home Wi-Fi® network. Then you can use the app to access Internet radio, select music services and your music library, and create presets for your SoundTouch® system.

It's also the only way to get and update any new firmware releases.

But yeah, I don't rely on the app, and the only time I used it now is to check for software/firmware updates.

If you are only using 5.1 or less, probably not. But HDMI can do 7.1 and up, including Dolby TrueHD, DTS HD MA, Dolby Atmos, and DTS:X. HDMI will also be relatively future proof

I was referring to the outputs of the Bose Soundbar 300. I think the only difference is the HDMI Arc port will allow the TV remote to adjust the volume. For me, the less remotes I have to use the better I like it. The way my setup is the Roku remote, the Comcast remote, the TV remote and the Bose remote all work to adjust the volume. That way I don't have to go searching for the remote just to change the volume. I only use the phone app for changing the settings. I'll have to check the phone app again because I didn't see any option to check for updates.

I'm not using the SoundTouch app. The instruction for the soundbar 300 said to use the Bose Music app. I just checked the app and I don't see any option to check for updates. I'm guessing the soundbar will update itself.

Yes, because each subsequent Bose Soundbar iteration uses a different app - I can't use the Bose Magic app on my soundbar, and you can't use the SoundTouch app on your soundbar because we have different iterations of soundbars.

I also have the Bose NC 700 Noise Canceling Headphones, and it use yet another app called the Bose Music app. That app can't be used with the soundbar, nor can the SoundTouch app be used with the headphones. That's Bose :)
