Used a liquid thermal pad on my laptop instead of a thermal pad.
So far it seems to be working.

My wife has been wanting a newer and better laptop so I'm going to do a clean install of Windows eleven on my old laptop and set it up with all of her programs. Her old laptop will collect dust until we find a family member that needs a better laptop. If not I'll do a secure erase of the SSD and clean install windows before I donate it to Good Will.

My new Wi-Fi Extender is working way better then I expected. So far the Wi-Fi sigal has been full strenth. I haven't did an official test but the web pages loading and file downloads are darn close to what I get on my main desktop connected to the Comcast Wi-Fi router. I thought my old extender was great but this one puts it to shame.

I bought a very nifty little macro keyboard kit:

You can program it to do what you want, and it also works with the Ableton DAW, which I use quite a lot. It controls MIDI, or provides standard HID class keyboard strokes per key. I can't wait to play with this thing when it gets here.

I didn't just buy these... I bought them long ago... excellent 5 book series.
The great thing about these books is the phraseology the author uses.

Click on "Look Inside" (above the pic of the book), and scroll down to where it says "Chapter the First"... and read what follows. I love the way this guy writes.

OWC 500GB jump drive to replace a jump drive that died. Bought it for capacity and flexibility - needed a do-all USB type A and a C. This fit the bill. The write speed is good, though it does drop down significantly when the SLC cache fills. Runs fairly cool for such a drive.
