Hi
@MalwareT
The schematic diagram below is a simplified version of my current Audio-Video-PC setup.
I've experimented with many solutions to getting audio/video to work for my needs. I tried using HDMI for audio from the PC to the AVR but found the results weren't right for me. So, I purchased a Digital Audio Convertor (DAC) \Headphone Amplifier. This works well for me because I listen to sound in various formats from standard CD level to audiophile. Note that I have all onboard audio and HDMI audio in the PC disabled and use USB for audio.

People do this in many ways. If audiophile sound isn't the goal, then Bluetooth can work fine. I went down the USB path from the PC because I'm not a fan of the quality of sound from onboard audio in PC. The final comment I'd make is get one thing working at a time when integrating an AVR with PC etc. It makes it much easier to get it all going.
