The only time I willing use touch screens is when I'm on my phone or when using the radio in my truck. My laptop has a touch screen but I still prefer to use a mouse.

Two of mine have touch screens, I find I use touch a lot to open apps pinned to the taskbar, to open and use the Start menu, and to open my 'frequent sites' tiles in Edge or Firefox. It's just easier/quicker that way. Scrolling a page is another good use for touch. Then I use the touchpad for most everything else after that.

I sometimes have to stop myself reaching out to touch my other laptops' non-touch screens :wink:

    fully 'Windows 11 ready' laptop. Windows 10 C: partition migrated from my old unsupported 'main machine' then upgraded to 11. A test migration ran Insider builds for 2 months. When 11 was released on 5th October 2021 it was re-imaged back to 10 and was offered the upgrade in Windows Update on 20th October. Windows Update offered the 22H2 Feature Update on 20th September 2022. It got the 23H2 Feature Update on 4th November 2023 through Windows Update, and 24H2 on 3rd October 2024 through Windows Update by setting the Target Release Version for 24H2.

    My SYSTEM THREE is a Dell Latitude 5410, i7-10610U, 32GB RAM, 512GB NVMe ssd, supported device running Windows 11 Pro (and all my Hyper-V VMs).

    My SYSTEM FOUR is a 2-in-1 convertible Lenovo Yoga 11e 20DA, Celeron N2930, 8GB RAM, 256GB ssd. Unsupported device: currently running Win10 Pro, plus Win11 Pro RTM and Insider Dev, Beta, and RP 24H2 as native boot vhdx.

OK so why does Microsoft allow the drivers to non compatible systems within the WIN Update sys upon once you are connected? Just to me seems like a easy fix but Microsoft doesn't care much. They just want new comers

Call me old or old fashion. The only thing I like touching is my wife. Anything else is because I have too and not because I want too. :cool:

I mean if I could... I'd go back to WiN7 but I can't unless I find a way hide my drive from WIN11 but nope. Just every update kills 7 to boot which in turn I have to restore my backup every time

I tried disconnect all drives but still the updates proceed to effect WiN7
