Power Surge Protector Recommendation?

But you are unusual in this forum in not using a desktop computer.
True. The forum seems to be heavily populated by gamers who assemble heavy duty desktop gaming machines. I also seem to be unusual in the forum by not being interested in playing games.

I only use my computers for surfing and mostly news/current affairs. I like being able to take it from room to room. It's more sociable too.

The issue here with using a UPS with a car battery is you obviously cannot keep that inside the apartment right? So where exactly do you keep those batteries? So the ones that are using now... it's connected to your electronics all day and night?

What about the other ones not in use? Where exactly are you storing it? I always read that using a car battery and having multiple ones is best for more battery backup but the issue is these are suppose to be kept outside the apartment. So people keep it where exactly? The garage? Or where? If you are inside the apartment, where would you even keep it? You can't correct unless you want to put it outside?

When it's not charging I keep it in the house. As it's only 7AH, I also keep it in the house when charging. It's kept in a biscuit box with no lid just in case it vents. You can buy gel batteries that are totally sealed if you are frightened of lead-acid batteries.
If you live in an apartment you might need to check the lease rules, but I live in a freehold, detached property.
