Solved QTTabBar

Is there a way to backup my locked tabs in version 2048 on windows 11?
You could export them to a Group File...
I know of no other way, except perhaps General/Manage settings/Export now...

Hello, I'm a fresh QTTabBar user (like a few hours).
I found the attached photo in another thread and I went through all the options one by one trying to figure out how to align the tab bar on the right with the view on the right. Now I have both tab bars on the left side (the one for the main view on top of the one for the extra view).
Please help.

Thanks for the quick reply.
Unfortunately, this checkmark does nothing for me. Maybe a broken install? or compatibility issues?

2048 beta 2

LE: they synchronize only if I enable the Command Bar. Which is not bad, since I was looking for something like this.
My goal is to find a replacement for Total Commander which I've been using for some 20 years. Nothing wrong with TC and I haven't gotten fed up with it, I just want to try something new.

When using various programs that have an 'Open in Windows Explorer' buttons, a new Windows Explorer window will pop up, which is something I want to prevent.

In QTTabBar, we generally have two options when opening a directory via right-click:
I am trying to ascertain whether the behavior of opening a new window from external applications is issued via Windows or QTTabBar, and whether QTTabBar is capable of overriding this behavior by opening external links in a new Tab instead of a new Window. The whole reason for this is that opening Windows Explorer links in new windows defeats the purpose of tabbed browsing.

I tried to go ask for help at the QTTabBar forums, but the site seems depracated and no one can post there.

if its on win 10 pro, this would be best suited to post on QTTabBar Updates - Windows 10 Help Forums

but since here, i'm fairly certain there is a setting that should be enabled by default to open all new explorer processes in a new tab (intercepted). i cannot confirm as i do not use it. @Edwin would be the guru for this

Thanks for your assistance. I really appreciate it. I posted the question also on QTTabBar Updates - Windows 10 Help Forums. I am hoping there is a Windows setting for this. Thanks!

Can you give an example? (Along with a screenshot, if possible)

Hey Edwin, thanks for chiming in. Here is an example using MO2 Mod Organizer, which allows users to open links to files managed by MO2 in Windows Explorer

I'm trying to think if I have something like that to test it out...

When you do that, does the Window Title Bar have Fallout 4 icon in the upper left corner, or an Explorer icon?

When the new Explorer Window opens via the MO2 link (shown in the screenshot), there are no icons present in the Explorer window, and there is nothing named 'fallout 4'. Fallout is simply the name of the Mod that is being managed by MO2.

Also, someone else suggested that I try:
  • Window -> Capturing and Exclusion list - enable window capture, also by ShellExecuteHooks

but this didn't work, despite that I logged off and back on again.

I wish I had a similar app with which I could try to replicate your issue!
