That is what I did several years ago when it came up. Now it reappeared and looking back at things I think I inadvertently logged off. I redid the Netplwiz (nothing about control alternate delete) and no alternate name listed in Netplwiz as yours, and its gone again. But somewhere in the "innards" of Windows its still there.1) I first enabled "control alternate delete" .
2) I then ran Netplwiz - Autologin.
This removed the redundant name on booting up.
