There seem to be significant Windows problems after the latest Windows 11 upgrade.



Waiting a month or more may be the way to go until the resolved issues grows.

This morning, Mar 1/25, my system indicated it wanted to restart to complete updates. Sure enough 24H2 had been presented.

I installed, no SAS, but left Malwarebytes running. Not really practical for MS to think everyone with a third party AV would uninstall before upgrade. Where would they even get that knowledge.

End result .... I'm now on 24H2. Pretty fast install. Yes I've been monitoring those issues, where I help out we lost a camera with the January updates. Still no resolution even though MS says they fixed issue.

Now I have a new opportunity. My "AsUoIO.sys" is listed as a vulnerable driver and won't load. I disabled the the check for vulnerable drivers.

I have to understand how what this driver does as part of Asus Probe. Without it my fans run a little faster, or at least I perceive they do. No updated driver on Asus Website. No wonder the common person just hates updates. Asus must know about this yet they could care less and MS doesn't provide an exclusion list to get us through the transition. Quite the industry and as they know most people are hooked they could really careless.

Updating is not for the faint of heart. I mentioned driver error in previous post. Well the updated decided Epson scanners should not be part of the system and now neither work. Really Microsoft uninstalled my scanners doing a Feature update.

One re-installed with grief. Adobe wouldn't open file. A restart seems to have fixed.

Someone needs to be fired. Guess you have to be one an approved software list.

Absolute nonsense.

There is a default 10 day go back period.

It can be modified to 60 days.

Thanks zbook. I shut off memory integrity so I could shut off check for vulnerable drivers.

24H2 will need to be installed and my issues will occur no matter when I go. I eventually got both scanners running.

So I'm all ready to fail forward with the rest of the world. I do appreciate your help and expertise.
