Solved Should I update my BIOS before 24H2 is installed

I don't know which USB port corresponds to the ones listed in BIOS. How do I tell?
It probably doesn't matter. If memory serves, the EZ BIOS utility finds the USB drive. And shows the file.

I went into the BIOS and selected the utility and it shows a list of USB ports.

The USB thumb should be the smallest in Mb, highlight it and the BIOS image should show on the right side, remember that the file should be pasted into the root of the USB thumb.

Ok thanks.
Sorry Alicia J, I missed this post, that is exactly the BIOS image, just hit the FLASH tab on the top left and then let it work till it reboot.

I am not sure what you mean by ‘root of the USB thumb’.
I guess you already updated the BIOS of your motherboard, as you can see the BIOS image selecting your USB device it means you did it correctly, past it into the root means past it directly not inside a folder.

Oddly your screenshot is for a different motherboard than the one in your computer specs, which one is wrong? And also, the BIOS number in your screenshot (the one for the TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI is the last one. ???
Edited - grrrrrr lot of screenshots ahahaha not the one of your motherboard, sorry.

It is recommended to update the BIOS of your motherboard, once you've done it for the first time, you'll see how easy it is. Just avoid the beta ones

I’ve lost track. Not trying to confuse you here. If you’re confident with how you are currently proceeding, ignore this post.

Do you have the ACER Care Centre installed? (Recommended) It may make things easier?

I have an MSI mobo and I've had nothing but issue after issue every time I attempted an upgrade to 24H2.

There is a new bios available but it's the second beta bios in a row, so for now I'll pass on the upgrade (waiting for a full version) and then I may try again to run 24H2.

Sorry, I forgot your first post

ASUS Prime B760M-A AX

If I remember my old Asus , the AIsuite can load a BIOS from within Windows.

Latest version on your support page is ASUS AI Suite 3 V3.03.36

Actual download

Code:
https://dlcdnets.asus.com/pub/ASUS/mb/LGA1700/PRIME_B760M-A/AISuite3_PPSU_SystemInformation_v3.03.36.zip?model=PRIME%20B760M-A%20AX

Scroll down to Number 8 & 9 to see how to expand the menu and access EasyUpdate from within Windows.

It’s an option if nothing else. I am sure the advice you have already received is solid, I can’t see everyones posts though.
