It has already been mentioned, but what I'd want to do is to go into the BIOS settings and choose an XMP (Intel Extreme Memory Profile) for the RAM.

That assumes that your RAM has XMPs.

Note that anything above 5600MT is considered overclocking. A few years ago, Intel denied a warranty claim on an I9-12900K of mine because I'd run it with RAM faster than their spec. I don't know whether that's still their policy.

XMP as AMD EXPO are approved by the manufacturers so no warranty restrictions, I strongly recommend to apply one of the XMP profiles. it's a concrete perceptible improvement.

Maybe. But that wasn't true a couple of years ago for Intel. Personal experience.

I wondered why XMP was an official thing, but you weren't supposed to use it.

Can't speak for every what if in the universe, but I've been running my RAM at XMP speeds since XMP appeared. Never had an issue, and never worried about a CPU warranty issues. BTW, XMP speeds are warranted by the RAM vendor as long as you don't exceed the rated speed.

So, if you buy say DDR5 6600Mhz RAM and plug it into your system, the default spec setting is going to be 4800MHz, until you enable XMP, which would push to 6600MHz. This speed is guaranteed by the RAM vendor meaning if your RAM doesn't run at those speeds when XMP is enabled, the vendor will replace them. It's always been that way, and Intel knows this as well so Intel voiding the CPU warranty for using XMP is like penalizing people for using something Intel deveoloped and still supports. Yes, XMP was developed by Intel

BTW, if you overclock above the rated XMP speeds, that could be seen as a warranty violation by either the RAM vendor or Intel, should you need warranty service because something happened above those speeds.
