I hate this bl00dy topic !!! Here in Australia, short sighted politicians think an infrastructure of 2 jam tins joined by a piece of string is advanced telecommunications. If anyone wants fibre optic, they have to pay for it ... but what's the point when most of the inground system is still copper wire!!!

My ISP (one of the top rated) highest speed is 90Mbps .. there's no point in anything greater, the system still won't handle it.

And you lot still keep taunting me with these (comparatively) astronomic speeds.

Cruel.

EDIT So much for the country that "invented" wifi !!! Where has that got us today ....

have you looked at installing custom firmware on it? or just swapping it for a decent router?
(RT-AC68U - can't go wrong, has support for FreshTomato and Asuswrt Merlin, amtm, diversion adblocker, etc, also very cheap router - but still very good.)

Rest of Household machines hit between 500-600 on wireless depending on conditions, and 1gig wired, as only have one 2.5gig port on Arris XB7 Gateway modem
