StartAllBack For Windows 11 has been released.
It's an RC release. I haven't tested it yet as I have Start11 installed.

Edit: I have now tested it. It's working quite well.
Apart from a great start menu, you can also have the Enhanced Classic Taskbar back.
This means (for example) that you can have an uncombined and unlocked Taskbar.
You will now also be able to enhance the Taskbar clock using T-Clock Redux or similar.
T-Clock Redux Tray Clock_.png

You can also change Windows Explorer to Ribbon UI or Simple UI.

You can get it Download

The block that Google put over the site of StartAllBack (and thus Chrome, Firefox and other browsers followed that block) has been lifted. It is available again.

This screenshot was taken a few moments ago in Firefox:

Hi, have problems with startallback, suddenly started to lag, when i close any open windows on desktop, file explorer, brave, chrome, anything, everything on taskbar is unclickable for 2-3 seconds and start button, after 2-3 seconds everything is normal. I turned off startallback, restarted and everything works fine without lag, so it's not problem with windows. Or perhaps some issue with newest, latest update for win 11. Thanks

EDIT: After trying to figure it out in startallback settings, i narrow it down to dynamic transparency in taskbar category. If turned on, there's a a lag, if turned off, no lag everything works. Hope i helped and hope it will be fixed in future.

is it possible to change the line spacing in explorer? like how close each entry (files and folders) are to each other?

That can be done by activating 'Compact View' in File Explorer.
You'll find a tutorial for that here:

And yes, even with compact view line spacing is rather big.
Third-party File Browsers often have smaller distances.

In StartAllBack I found no option to change this spacing for File Explorer.

Legacy spacing (aka Windows Vista spacing) is tighter than Compact View. It's set via FFlags registry entries and is a prerequisite for disabling full row select, so you typically find it by searching for that feature.

Note: Legacy spacing is NOT compatible with dark mode (you will get black text on a dark background).

It's also a pain to get the registry entries correct because you have to set a view mode along with with the correct fflags values.

But you can set it easily using WinSetView. It includes a checkbox to enable/disable legacy spacing. Here's a comparison:

i already know this. what i am asking is there a way we can input our own value instead of selecting or deselecting compact view. so instead of compact view, i would like the ability to change it to a custom value.

i will try and report back. it would be nice to be able to custoimize the list on the left (navigation pane) as well. on my windows it looks hideous. and some items i cannot remove from quick access.

it seems like a lot of work, but it would be great if these trwo thin gs could be added to startallback. i would gladly donate a chunck of change for those features

with winsetview when i enable compact view, the navigation pane line spacing doubles or triples. so file explorer is nice and tight but navigation pane is much to wide line spacing.

edit: actually, this behavior exists even without using winsetview. when i select compact view for explorer, the navigation pane line spacing doubles or triples. crazy...

I have never seen that issue whether "compact view" or "legacy row and icon spacing" is enabled. The Navigation pane spacing is always the same for me. I'm not even aware of any setting that changes the Navigation pane spacing.

Can you test again with a different local user account?

Hi,

I'm running Windows 11 (23H2) Build 22631.3593, and have also been running StartAllBack purely to get QTTabbar (v2048 Beta2) to run with the tabs and functionality offered by QTTabbar on the latest version of Windows. All has been working fine for several months now, where the Windows 11 tabs and QTTabbar tabs work side-by-side, but using QTTB's tabs more than anything.

After the latest StartAllBack (v3.7.10) update, there is a weird issue that happens with the QTTabbar tabs, where they'll load properly on first launch, but as soon as I lock my Windows screen, or my PC goes to sleep, when I get back into the desktop, the tabs are not visible. I've shared two screenshots of the issue as before and after. It appears as if the QTTabbar tabs get pushed to the right and disappear from the tabs pane. When I then close the Windows Explorer window, the tabs close one by one as if they were stacked behind each other, but the tabs don't display.

Tabs Displaying Correctly:

Before anyone asks, I have tried uninstalling and clearing my registry of both apps, but this issue persists. I tried reverting to a previous version of StartAllBack but seemingly it automatically updates to the latest version during installation. None of these have helped.

Is there a way to revert to how everything worked before the latest update? Or is there a setting in StartAllBack that fixes this behaviour?
