StartAllBack For Windows 11 has been released.
It's an RC release. I haven't tested it yet as I have Start11 installed.

Edit: I have now tested it. It's working quite well.
Apart from a great start menu, you can also have the Enhanced Classic Taskbar back.
This means (for example) that you can have an uncombined and unlocked Taskbar.
You will now also be able to enhance the Taskbar clock using T-Clock Redux or similar.
T-Clock Redux Tray Clock_.png

You can also change Windows Explorer to Ribbon UI or Simple UI.

You can get it Download

to revert SAB, disconnect from the internet during install. that should keep it from updating...
Thanks for the reply. Thought of this after my post.
I reverted to SAB v3.7.3 which has fixed the previous issue, and this confirms that the latest SAB update is causing my particular issue.

See the screenshot confirming my Windows Explorer layout working well with QTTabBar (as before), even when I lock the screen or the PC goes to sleep, the tabs are retained:
Screenshot 2024-06-04 152826.png

Now I need to block SAB from auto-updating. :-)

This is within the same Windows 11 PC. Reverting to SAB v3.7.3 allowed the W10 ribbon to work as it used to when I first started using SAB to allow QTTabBar to work with the latest W11. With recent versions of SAB, I had to resort to the W11 ribbon setup, as the W10 ribbon which I prefer wouldn't work as well.

Nonetheless, here's the same screenshot which I tested to check the behaviour remains consistent irrespective of the ribbon layout on SAB v3.7.3:

Good to hear that works. I just wanted to point out the difference because it's a completely different Explorer running when "Windows 10 Ribbon" is selected, so any difference in behavior must take that into account. SAB's substitution of the icons make the Windows 10 Explorer (in Windows 11) look more modern, but it's still a very different code base from the Windows 11 Explorer.

Thanks for the explanation, and that makes sense.
I'll just hang in there with SAB v3.7.3 until an update comes out that hopefully doesn't create the recent issue I experienced.

I'm using QTTabBar version 1038, SAB Win 7 Command Bar..., no problems!
I wasn't as lucky. When I first installed SAB, I too was recommended to install QTTabBar v1038 as it was touted to be more stable and bug-free. But, I couldn't get it to install (the installer would launch but not progress any further) on my W11 when I ran it. So I resorted to using the QTTabBar v2048 Beta2, and QTTabBar seems to be behaving as it does on my other computers.

QTTabBar is equally buggy on all 3.7.x versions for me.
Out of curiosity, which version of QTTabBar are you experiencing issues with?

@Sinner7 - I've not experienced this problem with my installs or any of the recent troubleshooting I had to do for an issue I was experiencing. Perhaps a clean uninstall and a fresh install would help?

I've found the problem. The desktop was set to "align icons to a grid". Once I changed to auto-arrange icons the issue went away. Thanks.

So yeah, I am quite sure I am overlooking something simple so I will just ask the question and if I need to supply a ton of information to get it fixed, so be it. It's been a while since I used StartIsBack or StartAllBack, but after checking all the settings (both Windows Settings and StartAllBack settings) I found no reason the task list won't show up on the secondary monitor taskbar. Everything else shows up fine without any issue (systray, time, etc.) but no task list whatsoever. Please help!

@Paul S. - When you say "Task List" is that referring to the "To-Do" app on the taskbar? I'm asking because I hardly use the app, and perhaps a screenshot of your issue would help.

Also, on a Windows 10 PC that I run 2 displays on, the taskbar not displaying (or displaying properly) was a Windows glitch that's partially related to a recent graphics driver update that I'd done. It happened on two or so occasions, all related to graphics driver updates. The fix is pretty straightforward and is as follows:

"Click on Start > Settings > Personalization. Scroll down, and click on Taskbar. Scroll down and click on Taskbar behaviours. Check or uncheck "Show My Taskbar" on all displays."

That sequence is all it took to revert my taskbar displaying properly on both monitors. I see you're on Windows 11, but the above steps may apply.

At this point, it may be the "To Do" app that's buggy. I know it sounds strange that a Microsoft app that worked just stops working. However, my other non-related problem with a different Microsoft App (Paint 3D) showed me that Microsoft is very capable of breaking something that was working perfectly well.

Alternatively, you could uninstall StartAllBack to check if the To-Do app (and task list) reverts to its expected behaviour.

Is it true it won't work with 24H2 anymore?

Me, too. Microsoft told developers they have to use the Windows 11 taskbar or they would be blocked from installing their apps on 24H2.
