StartAllBack For Windows 11 has been released.
It's an RC release. I haven't tested it yet as I have Start11 installed.

Edit: I have now tested it. It's working quite well.
Apart from a great start menu, you can also have the Enhanced Classic Taskbar back.
This means (for example) that you can have an uncombined and unlocked Taskbar.
You will now also be able to enhance the Taskbar clock using T-Clock Redux or similar.
T-Clock Redux Tray Clock_.png

You can also change Windows Explorer to Ribbon UI or Simple UI.

You can get it Download

The option is there in plain sight - uncheck 'Combine taskbar buttons'.
That's actually quite handy! (y)
I don't want to see Labels but, I do appreciate the ability to choose from a particular Taskbar mounted order...

Ah okay, seems to work now, but I also noticed that when its unchecked, I can now close tasks from taskbar with middle button click, is this intentional or a bug? Regardless please keep that possiblity as an option somehow, it's a very hady feature to have, which was part of 7+TT as well.

This is intentional as you can have pinned icon at all times for launching new instance. This is not an option.

I did update the app, but i don't see any differences from the last version (3.8.9):
- Option to totally disable task grouping (a la XP)
Don't see any option in the settings to enable or disable grouping. Not that I would like to disable grouping, but people who would, would hints how to do this.
- Swapped clock time/date on one line
That I don't see either. Can't get time and date on one line, not even when I make the character size very small. But that option too is not to use by me: want to see the time only. The date Ii can see when hoovering the mouse over the time. So I have the charactersize quite big, but as said for the test I made it smaller.

The other changed functions i can't test. StartAllback as it was, was very much ok for my use! (y)

just curious if this can also be made to allow changing the text color of the clock. right now im using tclock but that only works on one screen (for quite some time). if tclock can be made to be compatible with all (3) screens via SAB, that would work too. not a big deal, just figured i'd request, if its possible. thanks.

@Edwin

The option for 'Disable task grouping' is functioning somewhat different from what I expected.
My situation is: Combine: Never
The taskbar labels are grouped per app, like this:
002370.jpg
I expected that to be changed (tasks in order of opening), but I am glad that did not change.
The other options do not bother me very much as I always want to see the labels. Like it is now.

The date option is clear to me now, that changed in order. Date now comes first, then time.
I did not see that, because I only use time, no date with big characters.
Appearantly it changed from:
1.-tijd-voor-datum.jpg
to
2.-datum-voor-tijd.jpg
Which of course is better!

So all clear now, thanks for the explanation. (y)

No, but I use these settings of StartAllBack:

It all is in Dutch (in SAB there is no quick switch to other languages, so I can't show the English version).
But when you compare to the english version, things should be clear.

...are you using a specific icons...
Yes, I made some myself, for my mailprogram (equals the old Outlook Express icon), for the documents folder (equals the folder icon in XP), took some existing icon for my workspace and made my own start-icon. The start-icon however, as it was taken in the screenshot, was in the activated state. Normally it looks like this:

This is hard-coded in the StartAllBackX64.dll program file.
I did some search via a Hex editor and found these pieces of French language in that file.

French starting from about here

002375.jpg

French ending about here:

002376.jpg

So there is no seperate language file for StartAllback functions and the words used there have nothing to do with the windows .mui language files!

Because of that you will not be able to change it by yourself. If something is not correct, you should send a message to the dev. via his gmail adress. The mailadress you will find in the licence confirmation you would get. I don't want to publice that adress here, because I don't know if Tihiy would appriciate that!

Thank you very much for your answer

But SAB still uses a Windows file
On a Windows everything is ok, on another Windows, it is broken (It would just be SAB, it wouldn't be broken)

Capture.PNG

Like the translation of the updates popup (systray), it is Windows files that are used
Hence the problem of non-translation on the 24h2 at the beginning, MS had changed the files between 22h2 / 23h2 and 24h2

So we look for which dll (and dll.mui) is used

I think you'd better send the dev an email, because it seems to me being unlikely you can solve that by yourself.

I can hardly imagine that the difference is coursed by some windows language file, but I have no inside information on the structure of the SAB program. And I can't imagine anybody except the dev will have that. It's propietary software.

(It would just be SAB, it wouldn't be broken)
I would not be not so sure about that. May be the SAB program is handling some parts of its coding different, dependent of the Windows version!
