Usable memory same after RAM upgrade

There is nothing useful in bios settings. I think advanced settings are locked but i don't know how to enter advanced bios

Ok, so I see under "Main" you have 16gig of memory installed. Good.

Let's focus on RAM configuration. Again, remove installed modules, see what Reserved Memory says.

As a side note, Secure Boot is "Disabled" in the BIOS. That's interesting. But not applicable to the Hardware Reserved issue.

A lot better, but still too high. That may be the best you can do.

Anyway, removing those modules says you were adding too much RAM to the system. Or you have the RAM installed wrong. Regardless, you should find out/know what's the max RAM that laptop can handle, and stick to that.

I think your new stick of RAM is just too much of a mis-match.
You could verify that my checking the model numbers on the old and the new RAM.

It's always best to do RAM in matched sets.
Like if you want 16GB, then buy a 2x8GB "set", rather than just adding another 8GB stick.

In a matched set all the IC chips ON the RAM sticks will be from the same company.
But with individual sticks, the IC chips on one stick may be... Nanya and on the other stick might be... Micron.
And both sticks might be from Corsair or Crucial... etc., and still have different IC chips.

Couldnt find an option to set VRAM amount

Put back new 2 x 8 GB RAMs again
Seated them correctly
Still no luck

Old rams were 2x4gb 2400mhz ddr4 micron
New rams: 2x8gb 2400 mhz ddr4 kingston

So are they not compatible with the laptop?

What HP is doing is fudging numbers. They tell you the PC/laptop supports 8gig of memory, but in reality, it only supports 6gig (as shown by "Memory usage" under Memory in Task Manager) which indicates total memory available to the PC.

Here since the PC can't use all the memory, it's put under "Hardware Reserved". Hardware Reserved to me is just dead memory. Sure, it's allocated to the GPU, but unless your apps require heavy GPU processing power requiring more RAM, that RAM just sitting there doing nothing.

And for the record, my Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga X1 (2nd gen) with Intel integrated graphics doesn't even have more than 200meg allocated to Hardware Reserved as shown in my BIOS image in post #13 and shown here in Task Manager....

As you can see my laptop supports 16gig of RAM. 15.8gig available.

No matter how we try to explain it, that system is only going to use 6gig. The rest will be allocated to Hardware Reserved

Sometimes, different RAM sticks will work together, sometimes they won't.
In your first screenshot Task Manager did show 16GB of RAM, so both sticks probably work.
I'd bet if you put in "just" the new stick by itself, it would work too.

But with both in... things got weird.

In the RAM world... always buy matched sets.

Your machine has a dedicated GPU?
One AMD laptop with dedicated GPU shows Hardware reserved of 660 MB and the other one I have shows 2GB which has an APU.

RAM story....

I bought two 16GB (2x8GB) "sets" of RAM from Corsair on the same day from the same retailers.
They had identical model numbers. But... down on the lower right corner of the RAM's circuit boards, in teeny font size, were the "version" numbers. Each "set" had matched version numbers, but both sets were different versions.

One set had Nanya IC chips and the other set had Micron IC chips.
Both sets worked flawlessly, by themselves.
But... when I put "both" sets in, the comp wouldn't boot.
Eeven when I tried one stci from each set together, the comp wouldn't boot.

These were Corsair's top of the line RAM... Dominator Platinums.

True story.

No matter how anyone tries to ecplain it, that system is only going to use 6gig. The rest will be allocated to Hardware Reserved.

However, there's still the BIOS option, if available.

It does not appear to be officially supported by 11, either way try to install the latest APU and chipset drivers.

A note: it usually is best if both modules has the same chip layout, one module will have all the chips on just one side and another will have chips on both sides. I've found mixing those to be problematic.
