I was using Hotspot Shield VPN Free until now
Is Proton VPN Free better, worse, the same ?

For those who have tested them
I find that browsing is slower with Proton VPN, but maybe just an impression

With VPN's nothing comes free --there's always a hidden cost in the free ones via ads, malware etc. The better ones such as Nordvpn are 100% safe etc, are reasonably cheap, have loads of fast servers and a useful "Tunnelling" feature which means you can exclude apps from VPN control when running a VPN -- this is useful for example if you want to access home / shared network drives, or run browsers where for some sites you don't need VPN access and others you might require it.

With Hotspot, always free, no ads, malware ? Not detected...
More than enough for my use (about 30 min in total per week, maybe)
The only restriction with Hotspot is 500MB per 24 hours (but I never reach them)
