What Games Are You Playing?

I wouldn't call it a disaster, as the pervious versions do work decently with compromises and let's you play more demanding games at decent frame rates on slower/lower end hardware. At least they let you get games to a playable state rather than chugging along in the 20s to 30s, which is unacceptable in many titles.

My issue is, anytime ive used fsr3 personally, ghosting is horrific, the frametiming is shocking. 60fps without it feels smooth, 60fps with it on feels like im running 30fps. Similar reports of dlss frame gen as well. I've sadly never found an example where its usable personally, again only referencing fsr3 here due to hardware, Upgrade soon hopefully! Do i wait or do i wait lol

FSR isn't really intended to be used when your hardware can do full 60-144 fps in a game anyways. Maybe everything gets a bit too fast and stuff gets out of sync? Thus you experience sluggishness?

I don't know...

Yeah my hardware cant do the 60 to 144, ive tried it both scenarios, best example i seen was horizon, felt much better than previous games with fsr3, it did feel much less juddery, frame times/frame pacing was an issue here and there but nothing major, it did however cause flickering on in game icons weirdly so that bust it for me there. Im happy to use dlss or fsr3 in normal capacities just not with frame gen(in the current state of play).

Just curious, how big a drive does everyone have for games? I've got Path of Exile, Civ 6 and Throne and Liberty downloaded and that's 200gb. Probably gonna grab Path of Exile 2 when it releases and maybe Fortnite because I have some friend who play, that will be another 200gb. Added 1tb to my PS5 and tend to have about 600gb free between the internal storage and the added ssd. contemplating adding another SSD for games, I want to say 1tb is enough but its tough when double the space is only 50% more...

And to be on topic, I started PoE, realized the new version is a month or so away and went back to Civ 6 for now (PS5 is GT7, Diablo4 and Borderlands 3).

My Games drive is a 2TB SSD drive. And because I have Steam, I don't have every game I have downloaded to the drive as many of them I no longer play, so this also helps with storage space.

Modern games can easily take up 50-200GB of space each. And it ain't getting better as graphics and high fidelity seems to be the norm today. Not all ofc play such huge games.

But given this information, if you're playing a lot of different games, then there's really no recommended upper limit for game storage.

My XBox has 1TB storage and so does my sons computer, both are almost full.

I' with you and why I've not moved to a 4TB game drive.

That said, I'll be adding a couple of 4TB SSD/NVMe drives later, but not for gaming purposes but for music and photography.

Still playing Elden Ring - the DLC. My guy isn't very good at fighting! I did get Bioshock Remastered from Amazon Prime for free that I intend to try and play. Maybe I'll be more successful at that! 😬

I don't have any problem with the game, but UE5 is a little bit unstable.
Lords of the Fallen uses UE5. I've never had a problem with its stability, fortunately. Same with Remnant II.

Agreed. I've used a couple of mods that help with the stutter a bit, but going into new areas is still pretty bad for a few seconds.
