OK, But I figured it was worth a try for you.

Even tried the "print" troubleshooter in 24H2 and even that does not work - here is what I get when I click Run - instead of a "troubleshooter" - I immediately get take to the MS Store and see this:

I am quickly beginning to understand why some folks are staying on (or going back) to Windows 10....jeezus.

All of these - some at least 3-4 times.

Whatever this is - it is VERY obscure and probably not well documented either.

Also would love to know why I cannot even run the Print Troubleshooter on this build.

I’m thinking perhaps a software conflict? Do you have anything obscure installed? or any tweaks you’ve made to W11?

Well - I have a standard MS Win 11 Business Edition ISO, it does have my standard tweaks applied - ones that I have used for 5+ years.

Most certainly nothing crazy and this is not one of those hard core Windows-Nothing builds where the image is crammed down to 18MB.

Also - it looks to me like Print to PDF is as good as it needs to be:

1739312561258.webp

DISM comes back clean

SFC is clean

The printer actually does what it is supposed to do - just will not create a file with any actual data in it.

I have dealt with some doozies in my time - this one is right up there. If it wasn't so damn important to my "work" workflow - I wouldn't be overly concerned but I will need a solution - be it this MS feature or a third party - very soon.

Look at what port it is using.

Also, have you tried installing Acrobat “Reader” and seeing if it adds “Acrobat Print to PDF”?

Here is mine.
