"Blunderbird" is a more appropriate name for this misama of a hopeless website and e-mail client that's about as likely to last as a choc ice in the hottest region of hell.

That fork of thunderbird which is called Betterbird might be worth a look at but without resources etc one has to wonder how long the thing can stay supported and viable.

I'm afraid that with all the negativity about Outlook I'm still staying with it Ms isn't likely to go out of business any time soon !! - and as I run Linux usually on my "main computer" I'll just run Ms Office on a Virtual machine which works quite nicely.

Becky! by Japanese developer Tomohiro Norimatsu, hands down. It loads fast even with my 10GB of emails and multiple email inboxes over the last several decades. That's because it segregates attachments from the email text so you don't have to worry about an entire email database loading and potentially crashing and corrupting your attachments along with it like Outlook does; it also has a bunch of plug-ins to filter, flag, auto-respond and segregate email. Still Actively developed and has an active user group. Some complain about its dated interface but you can change that, plus performance counts the most for me when it comes to email.

Come to think of it, I'd lose everything if solely using online email login and it went wrong. I guess I just have blind faith in Outlook.com not to let that happen! I think google is probably pretty reliable too. But anything really important, I save/print as pdf.

So what are you going to do?

Stardock did this with Start11 to Start11 v2. In the end, they got sick of me complaining and upgraded 5 of my licences for free. I really hounded them. They shut me up.

Yeah..., through much correspondence and many posts on forums, they often seemed to trap themselves with their own words!
I even read some BBB responses where they allegedly gave some Premium user's a refund! Could've been bull-:poop: , though!

Having said that, if it’s reasonable, then I am happy to pay for an app I use every day. Like Hasleo or FreeFileSync, which is free so I donate $10 to FreeFile, every few months.
