Hi, first post here.
I had been holding off on the Windows 11 24H2 because I have seen numerous posts (elsewhere) regarding ACM and problems with ICC profile generation. I was waiting until that seemed to settle down. But this past week 24H2 crept into my system (uninvited).
I have a two monitor system that I mostly use for digital photography. On the left I have a 27 inch BenQ monitor that I use for photo editing, and on the right I have a smaller Dell monitor where I drop my pallets & menus (to maximize room on the BenQ for images). Normally when I boot up the system each day I first see the ASUS ROG screen prompting me to press F2 to enter the BIOS, then I see the blue Windows Boot Menu offering to either launch Windows 11 or Macrium Reflect System Recovery. This times out after 10 seconds and defaults to Windows 11. And then Windows comes up.
The first boot up after 24H2 went in I immediately noticed that the blue Windows Boot Menu (Choose an operating system) had moved over to the right hand monitor and was rotated 90 degree sideways because I have this monitor in a portrait orientation. Everything else proceeded as normal on the left hand monitor.
I have tried swapping the Display Port cables on the GIGABYTE RTX 3070 Ti card. This just swapped the roles of the two monitors (as expected) but did not otherwise put things back the way they were. I tried another suggestion - to power off the Dell monitor until the system finished booting. This suggestion was thought to cause the blue menu to move back to the left monitor - it did not.
So why did 24H2 cause this? And how can I get it back to the way it was?
Thanks,
Peter
