11 Clean(ish) Install

Apologies maybe I wasn't very clear @Winuser. Let me start from the beginning, I'm starting to worry this is quite likely a hardware issue (battery management/ cmos).

1. Initially, the laptop wouldn't wake from sleep and I had to hold down the power button to fully power it off so I could then turn it back on.
2. I then started shutting it down after using it which is a pain and I again started having to fully discharge the power button (believe it's something to do with static build up in the battery?) to then turn it back on.
3. I've noted a few times that put the machine to sleep or turn it off that I'll arrive back to find the keyboard flashing red which I believe is some kind of issue with the bios.

Is this likely to be a CMOS issue of sorts? I'm now at the point where I have to turn the machine off, discharge (hold the power button down) for a few seconds then press it and the machine boots.

The time seems to be holding.
