This has been mentioned more than once by numerous posters at Eleven Forums already but repeated here for those who have missed it.

Microsoft use 'Safeguard holds'. What is a safeguard hold?

Safeguard holds prevent a device with a known issue from being offered a new operating system version. We renew the offering once a fix is found and verified.

Source: Microsoft.

This dedicated webpage below lists and describes devices and software issues causing a safeguard hold to be applied.
NB: This page covers desktop versions of Windows 11 and is updated regularly.

You're good to go then. :-)

And I have Mash. :D
We're half German and half Scots.
So every year on my birthday, my sister sends me an assortment from... "Scottish Gourmet USA"

It's seriously overpriced, but she's a world class chef, so food is her thing. LOL

A 4.5 oz. Bridie is $12.50
then damn son you got some good eating right there, cant knock the scotts they get things done, especialy the one i met he was a great chef an my god never had anything as good since, it was only gammon but damn was perfect, funny how we went from a pc update to food hehe

Don't get me wrong. She didn't "make" the food, she ordered it.
She does make a ton of shortbread every year.

She "could" make anything easily, but she's in New Jersey and I'm about 400 miles away in Pittsburgh, PA. :(
ahh i can see the issue there

Still assembled, still runs. Haven't turned it on for 13 years?
My ASUS Ryzen 7 laptop updated itself on Saturday night. A bit strange, as updates normally happen on Tuesdays.
So I cannot find any differences with this 24H2 update, apart from a Settings Page change/tweak.
What it DID do was to totally mess Windows Explorer. - maybe I was just unlucky..
Explorer ended up with no ribbon, no tabs & no options. All it had was the Navigation column on the left, & file contents on the right.
Totally unusable. So I'm Using OneCommander that I've been wanting to chang to anyway.

So, be careful what you wish for, when wanting 24H2!! Do not try to force an update, you might just get issues!

At the moment it will only come up in Windows Update on a supported device if you have 'Get the latest updates as soon as they are available' turned on.
Not any more, it's now being offered in Windows Update even with 'Get the latests updates...' is turned off.

Might have a block for something.
Look here:
Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\TargetVersionUpgradeExperienceIndicators\GE24H2

See if GatedBlockId says None or has a number in there.
If a number is present your computer has a block in place.

What number?
For me, GatedBlockId shows None.

What does this registry entry do?
