Malwarebytes is aware of the Acronis issue and is working on a fix.
Until this is fixed, you can turn off Malware & PUP protection when running Acronis Backup

Backup and recovery issues is why I broke down many months ago, and bought both a sata and m.2 duplicators, got them both for under $200.00 US on Amazon, have never had any issues with them.
That was exactly how I proved it was causing the problem. However, for me my backups are too important to risk them failing. It was no big deal to uninstall Malwarebytes on each computer. That way I would know there would be no chance of it causing a problem. When I hear that the problem is supposed to be fixed I will test Malwarebytes again with each computer to make sure there is no problem with the backups.

Both. I am using ATI 2025 on 5 computers. 3 of these had Malwarebytes Premium. The others 2 had Malwarebytes Free. 3 of the 5 computers had backup errors. 2 of these had Malwarebytes Premium. 1 had Malwarebytes Free.
The computers aren't scheduled for another whole disk backup until early morning (12-2am) next Monday. When I get up on Monday hopefully I won't find any more backup errors.
BTW, on some of my computers I am also doing daily backups of user data. I have never had a problem with this type of backup.

Hi Folks,
Just to let you know that Malwarebytes has followed up to my ticket. They have released a beta version 5.1.9 that I have tried and it successfully resolved the problem.

Hi Folks,

I just reinstalled Malwarebytes and activated it again. I went into the settings and enabled "Beta updates". After I selected "check for updates" I got a new update. It is now 5.1.9.124. Is that the version you have?
The only problem I had with ATI 2025 was with the full disk backups. I don't have disk backups scheduled until next week. However, I need to make sure the new version of Malwarebytes solves the problem so later this afternoon I am going to do a manual disk backup to see if it works OK. I will post back with the results.
