Don't know what is going on with Insider builds not installing

After having been off the Insider stream for a while, I am having a bad time trying to get back on Insider Beta builds. I sign up for the Beta channel and on restart I get a stack update installed and then am offered the 22621.1537 build to install. That fails - see attached. In addition, the 22624.1537 is offered. So I try that and downloads and installs 100% but with no restart prompt.
After a restart, I am still on 22621.1485 and if I go to WU the above cycle just gets repeated.
Any help appreciated.

Use Windows Update Troubleshooter.

Right-click on Start button and pick Settings
Go to System > Troubleshoot
Click on Other Troubleshooters > Windows Update and click Run button.

Download Windows updates manually.

Go to the official Microsoft update catalog;
Enter a specific update code, for example, KB4481031
Select the correct version and click Download
Click on the link and Windows will update your computer

Resetting the Windows Update components can usually solve these types of issues.

Thanks for that. I tried that earlier, but it just gets stuck at 'resolving problems'. I left it for half an hour, but it just doesn't complete.

Also, I don't think the update catalog makes the Insider builds available. Tried but nothing found.

Tried troubleshooter again and this time it completed making some kind of change.
Also, just tried the batch file. Didn't make any difference.
Get the same error as in my original post.

So, I reinstalled Windows from a backup image to get rid of the mess, but that didn't work as doing the same joining the beta channel just reintroduced the mess!
In the end, I went to 22624.1537 by the UUP method.

I was in the insider channels for Windows 10 and 11 for ages and pulled out recently and am now on the regular Stable builds. I got fed up with the many issues I was having. It isn't for me worth using the insider builds anymore.

I'm beginning to think that as well, especially as the main reason I went back on the Insider channels was for the Phone Link to iPhones. But... I can't get it to work with my phone, so there is another reason for coming off! I would love to see that working however.

Do you have to build your system from scratch again if you opt out or will it just install the next "normal" update?

I have the same problem as stated here Can't install Update KB5025305

If you put in a WIN 11 Disk/USB stick and hit install, does it wipe your pc or does it just install over, because actually support told me to do so...but I did hesitate

You could try a repair install of Windows from an .iso file first before going to the Beta channel.

Thanks guys, I am not in the beta, just in the release. Though beta and release can just opt out and will get a regular version with the next update, so I guess I just wait this out
