Download PDF instead of Viewing

Many thanks  . I know it.
You can change file type icons as you desire with FileTypesMan (a portable app from Nirsoft).
Yeah, but 1) I'm not talking specifically about "icons", and 2) you don't need third-party apps to change associations

I'm strictly sticking to the discussion of PDF files and associating a default program to open "PDF files".

1) I thought you thought that my problem was the icons.
2) Sometimes, I don't understand the exact meaning of the speaker. It's because of my bad English.

You have to open it first!

AFAIK, opening a PDF is more dangerous than just downloading it (not opening it after downloading).
I know this is a weird question but what's the point of downloading a PDF and not opening it before or after the download? Don't you have to open it eventually?

While on the same PDF opening subject, from using Chrome, some PDFs will download and some PDFs will open in a new tab that appears to be the Acrobat Extension but there is one problem, how do I find the original URL for the PDF in the Acrobat Extension as I am not talking about sites where there is a download button but a good example is I am on a financial site and looking at my statements for the account(s) with them where there is a view button but right clicking on the button has no options and the only link in the browser tab is like chrome:// which basically calls up the Acrobat Extension.

I want to download the PDFs because:

1) Internet speed (and price) became disgusting since 2022 (Sep) in my region (if you like to know about it and want to know why, just google #mahsaamini/#mahsa_amini)!

2) I have to wait for the PDF's first page to be loaded to be able to download it ("Save" button in Edge PDF viewer).

Most PDFs I download are image-based (they have many HiRes images on their page), and I have to wait till the pages load completely! I hate viewing PDFs online because everything goes slow, and it's on my nerves. I want to download it first and then browse the pages with no lag.
I enabled and disabled the "New PDF Viewer" flag (Adobe extension) since the date MS released the flag, and it didn't have any impact on downloading/viewing PDFs.

I realized that various sites define various PDF download/View behaviours for their sites (it's a server-side behaviour).
