NOTE: it should be partition 4

Then follow that with:

select part 3
extend

You made it sound like you wanted to merge D: and C: drives. Then you said D: drive was empty. Therefore, I provided you with the means to merge empty space into C: drive. Now you want to restore D: drive?!?

Why is my machines memory usage remains between 6-9 gigs with browsers and Words docs, any idea..... @cereberus , usage is max 4, any ideas?

I assumed Recovery couldn't be deleted why not restore the empty D. I have a full backup.....

Not necessary. You can probably discover and reduce memory usage via Task Manager.
Ofc, you can do a clean install... but then you'll need to remove the recovery partition again.

You probably have twice as many things running in the background.
Generally, with 16GB of RAM and your processes trimmed down, you'll use about 3.2 GB of RAM, assuming normal background processes.

I run Bitdefender AV/firewall, which is NOT on a diet, and I only use 3.1 GB of RAM.
I also run 4 other 3rd party programs, that run in real time.

Also, if you reboot every now and then it clears a lot of RAM usage.

I don't use any AV except MBAM. Normally 3 Brave tabs, and 3 Word documents are opened on this.....

Reboot and then check Task Manager > Performance > Memory

5 FF tabs, Bitdefender, EVGA Precision, AIDA64, Translucent and Rounded TB, all running in the background.
And... I'm watching Frankenstein (1931), from my HDD via VLC Media Player.
I have removed a lot of Windows Apps on both Win 10 and Win 11.
After a while with no reboot, I can get up to about 4.5 GB (30%), RAM usage.


I have EDGE blocked in my Firewall. I removed all the Xbox junk, Widgets, Teams, etc.

2nd with 2 brave tabs and 2 Word files opened.

How do I remove W11 unrequired apps, background processes, windows processes, which are approx. 100 each.

Which unrequired apps, processes are eating memory and how to terminate them? :confused:

Mainly with REVO Uninstaller > Windows Apps.
In the Windows Apps section, I removed everything but these items.

But this is just my solution... there are others.

I so very obviously have only 1. I have so little artistic/creative ability, I can't even draw a stick figure. Although my wife did banish me from the kitchen when I used frosting to make anatomically correct gingerbread cookies.
