Faststone Capture Tutorial or Manual needed

Hi,

I work with Windows-11 and i often make screen snapshots for educational purposes.

Now i want to use Faststone Capture do use it for, but i am looking for a good (or recent) manual or tutorial to use this product.
At this moment i cannot find it and the help file from there site is very outdated (2011!!!)
Who can help me with it, Thanks

Does it have to be Faststone Capture? There are other good apps that do the same thing and they are easy to use. No manual needed.

No, The site is not outdated, the last software-update is: 17.10.2024
The only outdated item is the help file from that site

IMO, Faststone Capture is a great program and very easy to use. To record a video just click on the video camera (Screen Recorder) select the screen preference then click on Record. When done click on stop then give the file a name and location to save it too. I use the Rectangular Region setting so that I can select just the area I want recorded.

Edit: You can test using different setting to find what works best for you. It won't save any files unless you select the Save option.

For video capture of the entire screen I use OBS Studio. To select a specific area just move the preview rectangle accordingly. Formerly I used Snagit but this is not free.
