I found this on that
Here's a more detailed breakdown:

  • Open Microsoft Edge .
  • Click the "Settings and more" icon: (three horizontal dots) in the top right corner.
  • Select "Settings" .
  • Click on "Profiles": from the left-hand menu.
  • Click on "Personal info" .
  • Toggle off "Save and fill basic info" and "Save and fill custom info" .
  • You can also disable "Automatically fill my info on signup forms" .
  • To clear any existing autofill data, go to "Privacy, search, and services" > "Clear browsing data" > "Choose what to clear" .
  • Select "All time" for the time range .
  • Make sure "Autofill form data" is selected .
  • Click "Clear now" .
it will correspond to all Ai browsers before the setup date

  1. Make sure you have the latest updated version of Edge (Edge > Meatball menu icon (horizontal ellipsis icon top RH) > Help and Feedback > About Microsoft Edge >
  2. Then - Edge > Meatball menu icon > Settings > Appearance > Try the new look and feel of Microsoft Edge > slide switch On (you may have to restart Edge)
  3. Settings > Profiles (lh column) > Personal information > Settings (lh column) > Personal information > all Off
  4. Privacy, search and services (lh side menu) > Cookies/Cookies and site data > Clear browsing data > Choose what to clear every time you close the browser > (choose your preferences)
And note that there is no guarantee that Edge won't reset to default values after some future update (Edge, or Windows)

And this concocted complexity to make simple changes is Microsoft's way of saying "How dare you have the audacity to make changes to one of our programs, we'll just make it so difficult and complicated, like everything else".

Which is why far superior 3rd party browsers are so popular

Absolutely! I have been using Firefox for many many years and will never revert to edge! Yep I said revert because that is what Edge is...
