I am not receiving update to 24H2 version

Good morning.
Sorry for the stupid question.
On the MSI Thin 15 B13UC-1851IT notebok (purchased in December 2024) it has updated to 24H2 version, what I can't figure out why the desktop pc, I don't think hardware obsolete, ASUS ROG Strix X670E-F/AMD Ryzen 9 7950X, I only receive 23H2 updates, now at build 5126.
I don't know if it's the hardware or something else that doesn't allow me to receive the notification via WU.
Although I can do the forced update, but the failure to receive notification via WU remains a mystery to me.
Any ideas?

I don’t believe your Motherboard has a TPM2.0 module which is needed for 24H2.
The CPU should be fine.
I have read that modern CPU’s can contain TPM but I know nothing about that, or if the Motherboard must have TPM2.0 regardless.

You could upgrade by creating the install Media with RUFUS and performing Option 2 of the in-Place Upgrade.

Windows 24H2 requires TPM2.0 and an Intel CPU that supports SSE4.2 or an AMD supporting SSE4A
You can bypass the TPM but you can not bypass minimum CPU requirements.

However, both motherboard and cpu being quite recent, I don't think these are what caused the problem of no notification. I will try to wait a little longer and then proceed for the forced in-place upgrade afterwards.

The X670E-F has a firmware TPM (fTPM), but it might not be enabled. The BIOS manual has instructions for enabling it.

There are two possible reasons why Windows Update may not offer 24H2, failure to meet hardware requirements, or a known issue with installed software and/or drivers.

A failed hardware check may be something as simple as TPM not being enabled in the bios.

Incompatible software/drivers will be blocked from receiving the update by what MS call a Safeguard Hold. This will be lifted if/when MS or the 3rd party vendor develop a compatible update. A list of current issues, and which ones have compatibility holds is here: Windows 11, version 24H2 known issues and notifications

You can see if Windows Update has detected any safeguard holds for your PC in Regedit, look to see if it says anything other than <none> in GatedBlockId and GatedBlockReason. The RedReason lists items that do not meet W11 minimum requirements. Look in:

I ran the command but it returns error
“Unable to find registry key or specified value”.
This I imagined by not having the registry key in the system and I don't understand why it is missing.
I don't know whether to add it manually.

it's the same iso that i installed on the virtual machine, in the virtual machine the path exists and in the host pc it doesn't, that's what i don't understand.
I added the registry key manually and queried with the registry key.

Your TPM isn't good enough, so you will need perform a manual upgrade. It's not listed on ASUS's page.
