But? So in a way you are condoning it. Let's face facts, we're not talking about grey areas we're discussing the theft of software. But you seem not to mind steeling things that you should be paying for in the first place. No, I don't condone it, but I don't want MS to turn into a DRM watchdog for every possible company either. It's simply not their place, and there are countless ways this could interfere with consumer habits everyone takes for granted now. There are also cases where cracked software is legal, such as games sold at GOG. They work with game publishers to release games DRM-free, but also sometimes get their game executables from less than reputable sources. Often these files trigger false positive detections.
Many of these habits mentioned fall into a grey area of legality, but they can be as mundane as ripping a music CD for a digital library.
MS is simply preventing code from being allowed onto your device that may contain a virus. Get it? That's the job of an antivirus.. to protect you from you. I thought you would understand that individual that crack code aren't always doing it for altruistic reasons. They know that people like you will simply assume what they did is safe and you'll use and install the software in question without question and then they can infect your device.
I'm done with this subject.. if you can't understand the damage you're doing or the risks you're taking I nor anyone can stop you from steeling software. Oh.. one more thing, do you shoplift? Given your attitude about software I wouldn't be shocked to find out you do.
