O.T but you raised an interesting point about email .

You can actually send email (SEND) without an account - if you have access to a public smtp server - by using the command line if you know how : !!!! I'm sure similar in Windows script also do-able --telnet might be "doable" from Windows but if you've got the WSL then the linux script is fine.

I use things like this (modified of course with security / passwords / slss etc) for accessing my home servers remotely as IP address can often change and I HATE things like teamviewer or dyndns type systems. Just send one of these every 2 hrs or whatever !!! and get the "external IP" addess of your server. S=This sends simple message to phone : Your IP address is :

Using this method doesn't require the use of an email server or client on the host either (you will need to read the email of course to see the content !!)

Other wise W11 working fine for me - 1 physical machine, 3 VM's - PRO, Workstations and Enterprise -- all good.

Hi there
Can't remember how far back the post was about why is the icon for MS Teams is round mine isn't -- Powerpoint has a round icon and Visio has its own unique one too as do the others. I quite like the Office icons -- they are all unique

BTW to change the icon size on desktop if you like icons on desktop - same method that's been around since XP days -- simply hover mouse anywhere on desktop and hold CTRL keyboard key and scroll mouse wheel.

E.G here I've made icons bonkersly large just to show !!

Yes! I mentioned it in another post. I have also noticed that at times the speaker will have a X on it but I still have sound.

As far as I can tell I doubt many if any have been offered 22000.11 yet.. it's not on UUPDUMP yet

Build 22000.11 does not exist. KB5004342 has nothing to do with Windows 11 build upgrade, it is an update for .NET Framework in Windows 11.

Nobody has W11 22000.11, such build does not exist. The latest is W11 build 22000.100, KB5004300.

The reference to 22000.11 first came to light in Almighty 1's post #159, there were no queries about the number until my post, perhaps it might have been a typo.

Mine isn't random, it's consistently reproducible. If I have Settings already open (at any page) then I get the correct results, if Settings is not yet open then it just opens at Settings > System.

Also - no, I've tried it in quick succession multiple times and it always takes me to the correct page, either System --> Sound, or System --> Sound --> Volume mixer, depending upon which I selected.

Unless receipient(s) use an email service that blocks public SMTP by default. Because, spam.

True - but the idea of this was to send to MYSELF the IP address so I could access remote server at home without relying on 3rd party products such as "Nasty hideous rapacious" teamviewer etc charging money for a simple "get around" .

And you'd have to make sure you, yourself, were able to receive emails from said public SMTP server.

(and anyone who wanted to use these instructions would also have to make sure of the same thing, as well).

It's something that needs to be noted, as a lot of people are not going to have ready access to an email account that won't necessarily block public SMTP servers, particularly if they have been used in the past for spamming purposes.

My keyboard sometimes skips characters and I missed it before hitting the send key, I meant 22000.100. Either that or I was thinking Windows "11" at the time because I did look at the title of the thread when typing just to make sure I had the right build number as what I remembered but never compared it with my own typing.

Yes, you are right. The only reason it worked was because I had settings already opened.

Yes, it was a typo because either my keyboard skipped or I was thinking Windows "11" when I typed that. Was your Settings already opened when you did it because just like @Bree and @Winuser mentioned, that's what happened when I did it unless as @Bree said, Settings was already opened then it would work correctly. I even did a UUPDump ISO build of 22000.100 and did a in-place repair install earlier today and still had the same results. No one seemed to have complained about it on Feedback Hub other than my submission yesterday so hopefully the new build in the next 2-3 days would have already fixed it.

Ahh, I must have had it opened already. Tried again and it behaves exactly as you say.
