Macrium Reflect v10

I just sent them a pre-sales support request with the following question:

I currently own 5 one time version 8 licenses. The cost for 4 version X licenses is $100/year. My upgrade offer is 50% off regular cost for life. Does that mean my annual cost for those 4 licenses will be $50/year for life? And bottom line, what will my cost be (for life) for all 5 licenses if I upgrade now?

I'm very curious to see their answer. If I can get 4 licenses for a total cost of $50/year for life, it's a no-brainer.
I can answer that with my own experience. Last Tuesday I took the 50% off offer to upgrade my 4 license 8.1 to version X. I no longer have version 8.1 and my 4 licenses are all now subscription version X.

My 50% off going forward for all 4 licenses is $49.99 annually. It will always remain 50% off. That's an annual cost of $12.50 for each PC. For that I get all updates and upgrades going forward and I get Premium Support that never expires. The annual $49.99 is on autopay so it cannot expire.

My fastest backup was 305GB in 03:58.

For me this option was a no brainer. I paid more in tips this past weekend for dinner and parking.

But if/when Macrium raise the price (RRP) then your 50% off will go up too.
It specifically states that you get 50% off the RRP.
RRP stands for Recommended Retail Price so when the RRP goes up so will the price of your subscriptions.

Gary - where did you set up auto pay? I just looked and didn't see the option. Thanks again.
That was the default option when I set it up. I didn't actually have to do anything. If you don't want autopay, you can always change it.

Anyone try the new Reflect X. Download links don't seem to be working.

I have the previous version which did not work recovering a backup. Ended up doing a reinstall.

All backup programs seem to have bugs. Never found one that actually works perfectly.

Hmmm - I have used all the main image tool players and they all work fine.

Youm reply suggests there is a hardware problem with your drive. No imaging tool will work properly if drive is damaged.

Check drive health.

RRP means nothing really.

A common scam is to offer something as being in a sale at say 30% of RRP but when you check, nothing was ever sold at this artificially high price.

In UK, something has to have been legitimately sold at RRP within so many months of sale, to claim the sale price is valid.

What Paramount mean when they say RRP, they mean the prevailing Actual Retail Price.

Ya but still as retail price goes up so does your subscription price was my point.
I suspect soon they will raise the price back up to what they were charging for 8.
I have now found that IFW is just as good or maybe better than Macrium X.
No running background processes when not using it.

When I paid for Reflect X and I accepted the 50% offer for life (surrendering my V8.1 licence) I got a confirmation email. The cost of renew will be the same in 2025 as it was this year. So it doesn't look like Macrium intend to increase the price in 12 months time at least.

FYI if there's anyone left who for whatever reason still wants to buy v8 Home perpetual single or 4-pack for the same prices they were before Macrium stopped selling them they are still available at the time of this writing at Macrium Reflect 8 Home Edition | DiskImageWorks.com

I decided to buy some yesterday and got the email today from Macrium with the keys which also showed up in my Macrium account since I used the same email when buying from DiskImageWorks.

My 50% off going forward for all 4 licenses is $49.99 annually. It will always remain 50% off. That's an annual cost of $12.50 for each PC.
I have one MR 8 license, so a similar offer equates to an annual cost per PC of $25.

Yours is a great deal for those who need 4 licenses.

This will then take you to a checkout page where you can see the final price of the software and what you would pay annually. If you DO NOT proceed past this point, it will not apply the upgrade.
