I can answer that with my own experience. Last Tuesday I took the 50% off offer to upgrade my 4 license 8.1 to version X. I no longer have version 8.1 and my 4 licenses are all now subscription version X.I just sent them a pre-sales support request with the following question:
I currently own 5 one time version 8 licenses. The cost for 4 version X licenses is $100/year. My upgrade offer is 50% off regular cost for life. Does that mean my annual cost for those 4 licenses will be $50/year for life? And bottom line, what will my cost be (for life) for all 5 licenses if I upgrade now?
I'm very curious to see their answer. If I can get 4 licenses for a total cost of $50/year for life, it's a no-brainer.
My 50% off going forward for all 4 licenses is $49.99 annually. It will always remain 50% off. That's an annual cost of $12.50 for each PC. For that I get all updates and upgrades going forward and I get Premium Support that never expires. The annual $49.99 is on autopay so it cannot expire.
My fastest backup was 305GB in 03:58.
For me this option was a no brainer. I paid more in tips this past weekend for dinner and parking.
