New Version of ExplorerPatcher

I think I get that blue screen when restarting explorer. I have to restart explorer twice and it works every time. Try that

I tried that, but it just flashes the taskbar and then back to blue

Update to the latest pre-release version. It was fixed a day after Dev build release

Thank You @AndreTen it fixed it :). I thought I had the pre-releases turned on, but when I installed onto this partition it was obviously turned off but all the other settings were ok

@AndreTen Just downloaded the latest dev build 22572.1 and it appears that now ExplorerPatcher has gone transparent. I ruled out the update as the taskbar is fine without EP installed

Not sure what you mean. Can you post a picture of it? What is transparent?

@AndreTen Here is a screen snip, I have rolled back to previous version of Windows, before 22572.1 and all is fine with the latest version of EP.
It was my own fault as I normally wait for the EP update before installing the windows update

here is how it was, and is now I've rolled back

I tested it on 22572.1 on a VM, my taskbar looks normal. Keep investigating, maybe we find something more specific.

Thanks for info, I have no idea what to look for, so I installed the latest version 2200.556.42.34 and rolled back from 22572.1 to previous Windows build and all is fine again, I won't update for a while

@valinet I went back to the latest pre-release of EP and Win 11 22567.200 all fine, I uninstalled any apps/programs and reinstalled 22572.1 and it was ok when restarting explorer but when I restarted the computer it was back to the "transparent" taskbar and the computer is frozen

Can confirm transparent Taskbar in Insider Dev build with latest EP version (probably last few).
Behavior is very unpredictable.

Windows 10 style Taskbar is transparent, and after first couple of restarts only working for 5 to 10 seconds. Unresponsive after.

Went back to Windows 11 style - working normally, and back to Windows 10 style - it's working now, but transparent . Not fully transparent - some color from active app window

Dev builds are changing a lot at the time. Especially with Explorer changing in these builds. I'm aware of the risk.

Explorer becomes responsive at the time, Taskbar is semi- transparent ... weird, but interesting, also context menu is working

One other difference between Dev and RTM Win 11 builds:
In Dev builds, if I switch to Win 11 taskbar, context menu is gone, while in RTM build (also Win 11), context menu in Taskbar stays on if I switch to 11 taskbar...

OK, that was too soon to tell.
After some time in session (Windows) system (Dev build) became unresponsive again. Ctrl+Alt+Del works, but Task manager isn't . Signing out and in again, or restarting solve the problem for limited time...

Maybe on to something.. clicking on Notifications icon (far left in Taskbar) is the cause for Taskbar becoming unresponsive
(among other interactions...)
LockApp.exe is the faulting app, or also affected by the problem
