Yes! It is complete. Do you don't think to check my specs? If you have you'd know my system is built. Of Course there may be add ins but as it stands it is com[let. With all new builds there are always options. So now you know. Any suggestions?

Sorry I haven't bean here in a few days. My intent was not to be sarcastic. If I came of that way I sincerely apologize. The system is build but has room for upgrades. I'm thing of two 4 TB NVME's. My plane is to transfer "Or Copy" all data from my spin drives to the NVME's for quick access to everything. No more swapping out drives from my remote bay. But I would have to do some purging and that is going to be difficult. This is 20 + yeas of collecting. YA I know... On a spin drive! You would be surprised. But that's moving data to another drive when I see Signs of failing. The NVME's will average $500.00 and upwards of $700.00 each depending on the speed that I choose. But I do have my old age pension and my CPP and I do still work So it shouldn't take to long.

Nice to hear from you again and good to know your system is still up and running. Methinks you timed your build just right for future retirement. Hopefully Windows 12 won't declare it obsolete when it is released. These days one never knows. Make sure to keep your spin drives for archives because stuff happens. As for the joys of being Canadian I had to call Canadian Tire today to find out what happened to the air compressor I ordered. (My old one died. I think I cursed it when I said that my air compressor would die before I would ever hurt a system board just cleaning it with compressed air.) I'm hoping it gets here soon so I can get on with my rebuilds and my ROGUE build.

I own too many laptops: A Dell touch screen with Windows 11 and 6 others (not counting the other four laptops I bought for this household.) Being a PC builder I own many desktop PCs as well. I am a father of five providing PCs, laptops, and tablets for all my family, most of which I have modified, rebuilt, or simply built from scratch. I do not own a cell phone, never have, never will.
Hi all! Just the other day I had a boot error. "Device not connected or not detected". I rebooted a number of times with the same error. I shutdown and pulled the plug from the PSU and held down the start Butten for 20 seconds to drain all power. I powered up again and haven't had an issue since. I wish I took a pic of the error for you to see. Any ideas?

This sort of thing is not uncommon. Sometimes it can be something as simple as a faulty connection that needs to be tightened up a bit. BUT if the problem persists and the only way to remedy it is by draining the caps on your system board you might be facing slightly more serious issues. I'm inclined to think it is more the former than the latter.
I'm running 4 WD Blues (SSDs, of course) in a RAID 10 config and they've been chugging away for years now without issue. I confess that I don't even have them in a cage. They're all neatly stacked side-by-side on top of my rarely used blue ray drive. They're happy there. In fact I almost completely forgot about them until I read this. Oh, the joys of owning a LARGE desktop PC! :)
