Power Button is set to Sleep, but it has to wake up monitor first

I'm using a Windows 11 PC and I have it set up so that my display turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity. I also have the Power Button set to Sleep.

So sometimes after my display turns off after 5 minutes of inactivity, I would decide to put the PC to sleep as well. My Power Button is set to put the PC to sleep, but when the monitor is already off it doesn't work properly. I would have to press the Power Button twice. The first time will wake up the monitor and then I have to press it a second time to actually put the PC to sleep.

My question is, with this setup, is it possible to get the Power Button to put the PC straight to sleep without having to wake up the monitor first and pressing the Power Button twice?

What's the power settings for default sleep, after a time out (irrespective of what the power button is set to)

If it's default Sleep after a timeout (5 mins?) then the subsequent power button first press is to wake up, hence the need to press twice - wake, then (re)sleep via power button

EDIT What's the monitor setting (not through Windows) time out?

Default sleep? You mean when does my PC go to sleep? I set it to never. I prefer to manually put it to sleep, that's why I set the Power Button as sleep.

My monitor doesn't timeout either. It is just set to sleep in 5 minutes through Windows.
