Solved slow computer boot up

If you have created either a USB flash drive from Memtest for Windows tool containing Memtest only or a USB flash drive with rufus from Strelec's ISO, then switch off your computer and connect the USB. Switch on again and quickly press F12 (confirm with MSI motherboard User Guide) before Windows load to stop the default boot sequence and see a list of devices. Find your USB by its name (such as Kingston... or Sandisk... or whatever). Use the arrow keys to hightlight the device and press ENTER to start from there.
i think ill try this again if i do crash again, i want to rule out errors one by one so ill see if it really was just a corrupt installation. i will keep this in mind tho, thank you so much! it asks me to disable secure boot as well, but the option is locked in my bios, could that be the cause as well?

either ill do it upon crash again or this night, what do you think would be better?

Check Security section in BIOS. Some laptops have USB boot blocked by default. If it isn't there might be on another section, look carefully all BIOS entries and their values to figure it out.

If you have the MSI laptop in your specs, download the User Manual here: https://www.msi.com/Laptop/Raider-GE78-HX-13VX/support?sub_product=Raider-GE78HX-13VH#manual

WHAT!!!! I just had a look in your Manual, it doesn't have a guide to BIOS functions! How stupid is that! Anyway, you must go to USB Configuration to enable booting from USB devices, if it is not in the Security section. Also check the Boot section, if you have only enabled UEFI boot and you have a Legacy boot device (such as an MBR USB flash drive instead of an UEFI-GPT one), that explains why you don't see it on the Boot menu. enable CSM (aka Legacy) mode as well, or make sure you create the USB as GPT (UEFI mode boot) in Rufus.

This error means the setup program could not access a point of the USB. Try it in another USB port or try a different USB flash drive. Usually a Linux USB can boot both in UEFI and in Legacy mode. If both are enabled in BIOS you should see two entries in the Boot menu. The plain one with the device name is the Legacy and the other has UEFI next to the device name.

i think the problem was that the usb we bought only ran on the windows 10, windows 8.1 and windows 8.6 OS, atleast that was what it says on the back og yhe box. might need other usb 😭

i still find it odd how if it is a ram error, it only occurs while playing a specific game. could yhis just be due to the amount of ram that game uses? if so, why is it so inconsistent? im genuinely stumped and these crashes annoy me because they arent constant, the audio freeze varies, and it is never a BSOD it just always freezes and stuff. is this normal ram error?

IMO All this extra stuff to create a Strelec bootable usb drive just to run Memtest is just confusing to a newbie. Forget Strelec and create a simple Memtest usb. It has straight forward instructions that are easy to follow including a video.
