Started the test of the 29 drivers in sets of 9 or 10. Narrowed it down to mticache.sys from Micron Technology Inc. It is from the Crucial Storage Executive Software. My system drive is a Crucial brand. Unless you tell me different, it is my plan to uninstall the Crucial Storage Executive Software and as such, that driver. In doing some research on the net, this driver has caused BSOD in some instances.

Here is the log of the tests and the V2 link.

zbook, thanks a bunch for your help. I just upgraded to Windows 11 successfully.

Here is a list for the changes made to my system. Hopefully the list will help someone else that is struggling with the upgrade.

  • Uninstalled McAfee Application
  • Uninstalled MalwareBytes
  • Deleted mtkbtfilterx.sys
  • Uninstalled CyberSight Ransom Stopper and zdiskprot.sys
  • Uninstalled Crucial Storage Executive Software and mticache.sys
I also made these changes

  • Upgraded BIOS from 2602 to 3611
  • Reenabled WindowsRE
  • Created Restore Points

None of that includes the testing initiated by zbook.

I still have some cleanup to do (a driver cannot load on this device (AsIO,sys) so I’ll get to work on those.

I definitely could not have gotten this completed without the help of zbook.
