When you get in the real world, I find it's not how well you know the answers as much as it is how well you can locate the correct answers using any means possible.

Does ReadyBoost works in this insider preview build? I upgrade my laptop and desktop which have ReadyBoost enabled and it disappear afterward. No ReadyBoost tab even after cleaning and formatting the USB stick.. Have HDD as main boot drive.

How much ram do you have. Readyboost is pretty much a waste of time if more than 4GB of RAM.

Hi. I have 16GB of memory. I used ReadyBoost mainly to populate SuperFetch memory when starting from hibernation and fast-start. It work for me pass 5 years. I know SSD/Nvme is much faster. I'm just nostalgic about keeping my HD boot drive till i'm force to buy a nand flash only laptop. =)

I doubt readyboost has any real impact.

That was certainly a very short period of "We will be releasing the same builds to Dev and Beta from now on"...

Which suits me just fine, actually. I wondered how that was supposed to happen--and now I know--it didn't happen...

I'm really enjoying the relative stability of the beta channel!

You're more likely to see Cumulative Updates than a new build. I would not be surprised if there is one June 14 for Patch Tuesday. Keep in mind the current Beta build is also RTM.

I have 22621 on a couple of desktops. The Windows Memory Diagnostic appears to be broken on both, in the same way. (When trying to execute it, just some underlines are shown, with no pass or progress numbers shown. When I press F1 for settings, I get a blank blue screen.)

Is it the same for others?

I have 22621 on a laptop, it's currently 15% of pass 2 of 2....

Edit: ....and now it has completed.

Well, shoot.

SFC finds no errors.

The only other information I can provide is that both 22621 installs were illicit upgrades over 22000, using an ISO from uupdump. (I'm not in the Insider program.)

I'm not an Insider either. This laptop isn't even a supported device. The 22621 it is running started life as a clean install of Home using a UUPDump ISO of 22557.1 in a VM on a supported Host. That then got upgraded to Pro in the VM.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that a feature update could upgrade a vhdx native boot install, so (with the help of a workaround to bypass the compatibility checks) it has been through every upgrade since then to bring it up to its current 22621.1 build.

Back to 22000.708. I believe that I would have needed a clean install to resolve the problem (and other minor issues). I've been through that before, installing a prerelease version as an upgrade over a release build. I wasn't prepared at this time to spend a few hours restoring the syetem after a clean install.

since I installed W11 22621.1, there's this 'Pin to Quick Access' option in the right click context menu for every ICON which I believe wasn't there in the earlier version

Any tweak to get rid of this option from right-click context menu?
