Driver issue.webpI have just updated Windows 11 from 23H2 to 24H2 and I am getting a driver error

Here's what the pop-up window says

A driver cannot load on this device

Driver: iqvw64e.sys

A security setting is detecting this as a vulnerable driver and blocking it from loading.

You'll need to adjust your settings to load this driver.

Any thoughts on how to resolve this?

Do you have intel network connections software? I think you need to uninstall the Intel network connections software.
You can also try and Disable Memory Integrity and see if it will work.

Another thing you can try is to check Intel Driver & Support Assistant and update you intel drivers.

Many thanks for your response.

Memory Integrity is already disabled. I do have intel network connections software and have already used the Intel Driver & Support Assistant to check for new drivers but none were found

See if this helps you, same issue

No, I don't have a Dell PC. I downloaded the intel LAN driver from for motherboard & I think this may have resolved the issue. Need to reboot to check

i had a surprise update yesterday, or the day before with windows at a wrong time...I went ahead and said ok.. then this update,'Windows 11, version 24H2' , slow as H.. and then the Error (error on mine, just said 'error' guessing it just has the typical slow ms download speed.. Does, M.S. care they are really bad at this? terrible... pushing updates (probably with stuff we don't care about..) and make us go around in circles with errors after spending an hour to get them to download and install?? so bad, so annoying! **this maybe wrong thread, it is just a cumulative update.. I am not in any insider member..

Samsung 970.. I gave up on it... spent my life working with technical stuff and computers.. it won't work, it won't work. one thing i did not do was unplug some usb stuff, but if that goes sideways it is a huge hole to climb out of..

have you checked Samsung to see if there is a firmware update as some SSD's have problems with 24H2
and will not install the 24H2 update especially if they are HMB type SSD's

there is also a reg hack as a last resort.
Regardless, there is a workaround for this using the good old Registry Editor wherein altering the DWORD value inside the "HmbAllocationPolicy" key in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorPort key fixes it by setting the allocation amount to 64 MB. To do this:

  1. Open the Registry Editor app by running REGEDIT
  2. Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\StorPort key
  3. Create a new HmbAllocationPolicy subkey if it is not already present
  4. Set the DWORD value of the above key to 0 or 2 (where 0 => HMB allocation off and 2 => HMB allocation is 64 MB)
  5. Restart the PC
best of luck, Steve ..

I did what you showed me, and much more, deleting folders, files, and it took maybe 4 hours of work, thought it was fixed, ended up with the 'Windows 11 update from 23H2 to 24H2 iqvw64e.sys error' and had to remove the intel network driver. I don't remember installing that or how i got it... Did the 24H2 patch put it in? I think it is all fixed, I should know in the coming days... looking good right now.. what a nightmare... 24H2seems to be running good now. I really think MS , Samsung, and all these companies seem to not care when all this stuff breaks our computers.. but guess ranting gets us no where.. I did a lot of video viewing for fixes too on places like youtube where the fixes came up... your fix for Samsung SSD only popped up once in my online searches, and I did change my registry.. I am used to working with such files. I have been working with computers since 1980 or so. at the very end the error in my norton and MS security for that sys file popped up at 12 am , just after I thought al was fixed, then saw to remove the driver and or file for the intel network stuff. Thank you for the help everyone... if anyone knows how they put that file in my computer, tell me... I would like to send them a nasty gram...
